How to explore Seoul, South Korea? What interesting new spots have young South Koreans developed? Nowadays, young people visiting Seoul focus on cultural and artistic experiences, especially immersive art exhibitions in light and space, which must be top-notch! During a recent trip to Seoul, I abandoned the traditional shopping route and turned to various art exhibition halls, visiting many interesting art venues including immersive light and space. Let me share them now and show how to explore Seoul without shopping!

1. HiKR GROUND

If you're a K-POP fan, don't miss HiKR GROUND near Myeongdong in Seoul. It's a new-concept Korean tourism promotion center. Inside, you can deeply experience art exhibitions themed around K-POP, filming K-pop MVs, Korean dramas, and Korean festivals. BTS, aespa, NewJeans... all the hottest K-POP music and dance in Korea are available. You can also film your own K-POP MV in a colorful, vibrant space! The art center also features Korean traditional culture presented in new forms, showcasing the charm of Korean tourism through diverse artistic expressions.

2. Immersive Light and Space

If you want to experience an immersive art exhibition in Seoul, a strongly recommended spot is the Immersive Light and Space! Located on the basement level of the Walkerhill Hotel & Resort, it's easily accessible. Take subway line 2 to Gangbyeon Station or line 5 to Gwangnaru Station, then transfer to the hotel's free shuttle bus directly to the hotel entrance.

During this period at the Immersive Light and Space, you can see an art exhibition themed around the famous Spanish painter Dalí. Dalí is a representative figure of surrealism, known for his bizarre scenes and mysterious atmosphere, which perfectly suit the format of an immersive art exhibition. Modern light projection technology combines paintings, sounds, and colors to vividly present Dalí's dreamlike artistic world in front of visitors, creating a powerful impact.

In addition to Dalí, there is also an art exhibition themed around the Spanish architectural genius Gaudí. Through dazzling scenes, visitors can better appreciate Gaudí's architectural style and artistic inspiration. Cutting-edge technology combined with special sets creates a dreamlike light and space. Immersed in the environment, taking a few photos brings out an artistic vibe effortlessly. After viewing the exhibition, there is a café on the upper floors, where through huge floor-to-ceiling windows you can enjoy a panoramic view of Seoul—very healing. Remember to check it out.

The Immersive Light and Space is open from 10 a.m. to 6:20 p.m. Monday to Thursday, with last admission before 5:30 p.m. From Friday to Sunday, the operating hours and last admission are extended by 50 minutes. Adult tickets are 29,000 won and can be purchased through kkday and Naver.

Additionally, the Mysterious Light World on Jeju Island also offers immersive art exhibitions. It currently features the works of Korean painter Lee Il-jong, titled "Lee Il-jong, Middle Island Jeju," allowing visitors to experience the local customs of Jeju through colorful paintings. There is also "Cézanne, the Light of Provence" by Paul Cézanne, the father of modern painting. Through the artistic world of Cézanne, a pioneer of modern art, you can see the charm of art from a new perspective. Some friends might have enjoyed a 20% discount on tickets from Ctrip during the Spring Festival. Remember to visit the Mysterious Light World before March 3rd to avoid ticket expiration.
