The first maple leaves of 2024 will start from Seoraksan on September 29, and from late October to early November, the foliage across the country will reach its peak viewing period. The peak foliage at Bukhansan is October 28, Jirisan is October 23, Naejangsan is November 5, and Hallasan on Jeju Island will enter its best viewing period around October 28. It should be noted that "first maple leaves" refers to about 20% of the mountain's leaves turning red, while "peak viewing period" refers to when about 80% of the leaves are red.
