Embracing Nature: Enjoying Cozy and Pleasant Moments

As an art teacher, I've always believed that the most beautiful colors come from nature, and its magical palette never ceases to amaze. Nature holds countless 'secrets,' and as travel lovers, we never lose our curiosity for it. With the crisp autumn air, we pack up and head into nature to capture colors and discover traces of early fall.

A patch of wild land by Dishui Lake has always been our 'secret camping spot.' Few people come here; amidst the greenery, you can gaze at the sea-crossing bridge and enjoy a private slice of blue sky and sea. We drove all the way here, parked, and Longlong skillfully picked a campsite, then busied himself setting up the tent and unfolding chairs.

On self-driving trips, we're used to bringing the tent, folding chairs, and the like. Whenever we find a nice spot, we stop, set up camp, and enjoy nature's gifts. So, the trunk space of our vehicle matters. The Envision Plus boasts a huge trunk, and the rear seats can be folded down to expand storage. This spacious, comfortable trunk even becomes a temporary resting spot during camping; Longlong can easily sit inside or even lie down with room to spare.

The little master standing in front of the car suddenly exuded a more mature aura. The once little boy increasingly looked like a grown-up. Every trip with him lets us, busy with work on ordinary days, discover traces of his growth in these small moments.

The camping rest time also gave us a chance to appreciate our travel vehicle.

Since the Shanghai Astronomy Museum officially opened in July, as a world-class museum, it has drawn widespread attention. For parents, it's another perfect place for edutainment—a great spot to take the kids. We've visited many times with Longlong, but each time he never gets enough; there's always too much to see and learn.

After booking tickets online, you can enter the museum by scanning your ID. It has 3 floors above ground and 1 basement, divided into three exhibition areas: Home, Universe, and Odyssey. In the lobby on the first floor, a Foucault pendulum is placed, and many people gather around, eager to feel and confirm that the ground they stand on is actually moving. The spiral walkway adds a sense of depth to the space, as if linking Earth and the cosmos, extending from the present to the future.

Various demonstration models, audio-visual displays, and explanations are full of a tech vibe. Not only a visual feast, they also immerse visitors in interactive experiences. Compared to traditional dry astronomy lectures, this format is much more vivid and easier to understand and absorb knowledge.

Those terms often seen in textbooks are vividly displayed here through videos and scientific installations, with many interactive elements that require hands-on and minds-on participation, making knowledge come 'alive' and boosting children's interest in learning.

Here you can touch the cutting edge of contemporary cosmology, tracing humanity's exploration of the universe from ancient to modern times. The mysterious cosmos, full of unknowns, awaits more explorers. Longlong moved from exhibit to exhibit, utterly engrossed. We couldn't bear to interrupt him, and he only reluctantly left as closing time approached.

After leaving the museum, we continued driving along Dishui Lake, waiting for the sunset to bring a grand close to the day. One family, one car, speeding along the lakeside road. With our favorite music playing, beautiful scenes flashed by outside the window like a painting scroll—sometimes an endless blue expanse, sometimes fields still green, sometimes tranquil tree-lined paths. The scenery shifted, one beautiful view after another, with new discoveries and surprises at every glance.
