Singapore's e-visa is actually very easy to apply for in China, and the processing is very fast, taking about 5-7 working days. Currently, all Singapore visa applications from mainland China must be submitted through travel agencies. You need to pay a visa fee and a travel agency service fee totaling RMB 300. The official website lists the authorized travel agencies, which are located in the following provinces and cities: Beijing, Tianjin, Liaoning, Heilongjiang, Shandong, Henan, Chengdu, Chongqing, Kunming, Xi'an, Wuhan, Xiamen, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Jiangmen, Dongguan, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Nanjing, Wuxi, Suzhou.

Passport, visa application form, two recent 2-inch color photos with white background, ID card, RMB 30 fee, employment certificate or proof of financial status, household registration booklet. (For details, you need to confirm with the travel agency handling your application.)

Timing: The visa is issued about 2 weeks after submission. The submission must be no earlier than 30 days before your travel date and no later than 14 days before your travel date.

The validity period and number of entries for a Singapore tourist visa are determined by the embassy based on the applicant's information. Common validity periods include 35 days single/multiple entries, 63 days single/multiple entries, and six-month, one-year, and two-year multiple entry visas. The required documents and fees are the same; the validity is decided by the consulate. Generally, married individuals with stable jobs and household registration in large cities have a higher chance of obtaining a long-term visa. The duration of stay upon entry is usually 30 days, but it can also be 7, 14, or 28 days. The duration of stay for a Singapore visa is determined by the immigration officer upon entry. Be sure to check the permitted stay period stamped on your entry stamp!

[Basic Materials]

1. Passport: Original passport and a photocopy of the passport photo page. The passport must be valid for at least six months (calculated from the date of entry) and have at least one blank visa page.

2. Form 14A Visa Application Form (original): Download the form, fill it out completely in English, and sign it personally.

3. Color Photos: Two photos (one to be pasted on the form, the other for scanning). The photos must meet the following requirements: 2-inch, color, white background, taken within the last three months; front view without headgear (unless required by religious or customs practices, in which case the headgear or accessories must not obscure facial features).

4. Chinese ID Card: Original and photocopy. (Note: For business visa applicants, only a photocopy is required.)

5. Household Registration Booklet: The applicant's household registration booklet (full copy, every page: original and photocopy). For collective household registration, provide the original and photocopy or a certificate of household registration from the police station.

Cash: Generally used for small expenses like eating at food courts or taking taxis (actually, taxis can also accept credit cards or even Alipay, but occasionally the POS machine may not read the card, and drivers prefer cash). For most other payments, credit cards are accepted. Withdrawing cash in Singapore is very convenient; most shopping malls have ATMs with the UnionPay logo. However, be sure to watch out for transaction fees!! You can ask locals, as different ATMs have significantly different fees. Once we saw two ATMs, one with a long queue and the other empty. After asking, we learned that the empty one had higher fees.

Credit Cards: UnionPay, VISA, and Mastercard are all accepted, but different merchants may have preferences. Sometimes a particular card may not work. We had all three types of credit cards, so we had no issues. Mastercard offers discounts on souvenirs and other purchases at Universal Studios!

Mobile Payments: Alipay and WeChat Pay are incredibly useful in Singapore! Even some small shops accept them!
