New Pan Pacific and PARKROYAL Hotels Open Jointly in Central Tokyo
Two distinct brands welcome guests together at Tokyo’s latest skyscraper landmark—the 48-story Tokyu Kabukicho Tower.
SINGAPORE, May 29, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Pan Pacific Hotels Group today announced the official openings of BELLUSTAR TOKYO, A Pan Pacific Hotel, and HOTEL GROOVE SHINJUKU, A PARKROYAL Hotel. The former is a new hotel under the Pan Pacific brand, while the latter is PARKROYAL’s new outpost in vibrant Shinjuku.
BELLUSTAR TOKYO, A Pan Pacific Hotel, and HOTEL GROOVE SHINJUKU, A PARKROYAL Hotel, are located in the Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, the newest skyscraper landmark in Shinjuku.
Designed by Yuko Nagayama (Yuko Nagayama & Associates), the 48-story Tokyu Kabukicho Tower is the first skyscraper in Japan designed by a woman. Its inspiration comes from the old fountains of Kani River and the Buddhist water goddess. The skyscraper’s exterior resembles a fountain, with the upper part displaying the force of water spurting toward the sky.
BELLUSTAR TOKYO, A Pan Pacific Hotel, located on the upper floors of Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, is renowned for its luxurious style. It boasts 97 deluxe guest rooms ranging from 41 square meters to 277 square meters, each with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the bustling cityscape.
Moreover, it embodies the elegant and refined essence and sincere hospitality that the Pan Pacific brand has always championed, offering guests a personalized and heartfelt accommodation experience.
The hotel features five ultra-luxurious penthouse suites on the 45th to 47th floors, ranging from 113 to 277 square meters, all jointly designed by renowned interior designer Keiji Ashizawa and the award-winning Norm Architects, known for their noble and elegant decor. Among them, the largest Sky Villa penthouse suite on the 47th floor features a private spa room, kitchen, and jacuzzi, offering a commanding panoramic view of Tokyo’s captivating skyline, while the penthouse suites on other floors also boast exceptionally spacious living rooms, kitchens, and bars.
The hotel offers 24/7 private butler service upon request. For an exquisite in-room dining experience, a private chef can tailor a customized menu for penthouse suite guests.
Additionally, the Penthouse Lounge on the 46th floor is exclusive to penthouse suite guests, serving as a perfect venue for private meetings, gatherings, and afternoon tea.
For those seeking a bespoke culinary experience, the stylish Bellustar French restaurant, sourcing the freshest ingredients from across Japan, offers exquisite French cuisine that is sure to delight. The Bellustar Bar, with its extensive selection of spirits, wines, sake, non-alcoholic cocktails, and cocktails, is an ideal place to unwind in the evening. For top-quality wagyu beef, guests can indulge at Teppan Ten-yu teppanyaki restaurant on the 45th floor. And for a truly different experience, enjoy authentic Edomae sushi made with seasonal ingredients at JIN-È Sushi while overlooking the picturesque Mount Fuji and the Tokyo city skyline.
To refresh and rejuvenate, the hotel’s SPA sunya (meaning “sky” in Sanskrit) offers a range of spa and facial treatments to soothe both body and mind, leaving guests completely relaxed.
HOTEL GROOVE SHINJUKU, A PARKROYAL Hotel: A Gateway to Vibrant Hotspots.
Committed to creating a modern travel style that allows guests to discover the beauty of their destination and immerse themselves in its life and culture, PARKROYAL hotels enable guests to deeply experience the joy of local travel. HOTEL GROOVE SHINJUKU, A PARKROYAL Hotel, occupies the 18th to 38th floors of Tokyu Kabukicho Tower. Its 538 rooms feature a unique blend of art and music styles, with design inspired by the dynamic energy of Shinjuku’s Kabukicho entertainment district.
Staying true to the brand’s positioning as a “Gateway to Vibrant Hotspots,” the hotel has collaborated with renowned local artists Yoshiaki Kaihatsu, Takuro Tamayama, and Tomoyuki Washio to create nine rooms that reflect the history and culture of Kabukicho and Shinjuku’s ancient arts. These rooms weave together historical events and local characteristics with distinctive decor and vibrant colors, depicting the city’s traditional and pop culture.
Popular with both locals and international travelers, JAM17 on the 17th floor is the hotel’s newest dining and bar venue. Its rooftop terrace features a giant screen for live streams and performances, while the outdoor space is an ideal location for events, cocktail parties, and weddings. The dining and bar spaces here are all named after jam sessions of popular pop music culture.
Restaurants and bars, including JAM17 DINING, offer a wide array of Italian classics, from pizza, pasta, grilled seafood, to signature grilled meats. JAM17 GELATERIA serves a colorful selection of Italian gelato, the ultimate dessert after a hearty meal. For a nightcap, JAM17 BAR offers a range of authentic cocktails crafted by award-winning master mixologist Shingo Gokan from Tokyo’s famous SG Club.
