The brand new Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre hotel has 989 rooms, offering stylish accommodation infused with local flavor.

Singapore, April 15, 2024 - Mercure, the mid-scale brand under global hotel leader Accor, announces the opening of Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre. The newly built hotel has 989 well-designed rooms, making it the largest Mercure hotel in the world.

At Mercure, guests can immerse themselves in a locally styled atmosphere where every detail reflects the unique characteristics of the destination. The hotel's design is inspired by the colorful facades of nearby Chinatown and the urban vibe of the Central Business District, creating an exciting sense of space that embodies the historic environment of the neighborhood. This design approach is evident in the hotel's spacious lobby, which features an LED mural and iconic shophouse artwork by local artist Ripple Root.

Rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows or balconies, ideal for both leisure travelers and business guests, offering a comfortable retreat from the city's hustle and bustle. All rooms are equipped with eco-friendly amenities, including filtered water dispensers and biodegradable toiletries.

Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre stands out as a dining destination on Keong Saik Road, offering six unique dining experiences. Chara Brasserie is an all-day restaurant specializing in authentic Mediterranean buffets as well as Asian and Pacific cuisines. Klara Café and Bar in the hotel lobby serves a fusion of international and local flavors along with signature cocktails and beverages.

L’antica Pizzeria da Michele makes its Southeast Asia debut. This renowned restaurant from Naples is listed in the Michelin Guide and appeared in the film 'Eat, Pray, Love'. It is famous in Naples for its long queues for signature Margherita and Marinara pizzas. La Table d'Emma, helmed by seasoned French chef Michael Muller, blends Alsatian traditions and classic French cuisine in a stylish 'La table d'amis' (or 'friends' table') concept.

In addition, guests can enjoy sushi at Ashino, craft beer at Upward Taproom, and local coffee at TAG Espresso. These restaurants will open later in the second quarter of 2024.

The hotel's landscaped terrace is an oasis of recreation and tranquility, where guests can take a dip in the pool or rejuvenate on the serene wellness deck. A fully equipped gym caters to fitness enthusiasts.

Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre invites guests to experience an unparalleled journey of discovery right at its doorstep. The charming shophouses along Keong Saik Road, Ann Siang Hill, and Duxton Hill blend fine dining with vibrant street art. Just steps away, Telok Ayer and Chinatown offer authentic hawker food for gourmands. The hotel is conveniently located with seamless connections to Chinatown and Telok Ayer MRT stations, providing easy access to the city's attractions. To enhance the experience, guests can also join a free Chinatown food and heritage walking tour to delve into the local culinary and cultural heritage.
