As the weather warms up recently, Wawu Mountain, the nearest primeval forest to Chengdu, has entered early summer, and this green wonderland is donning new attire, opening a secret summer realm.

01 Ten Li of Clear Streams and Thousand-Foot Waterfalls, Countless Springs Play Heavenly Music

Located in the "West China Rain Screen," one of China's rainiest areas, and with its unique table mountain geological structure, Wawu Mountain is truly a world of flowing water and a paradise of waterfalls. Here, you can witness the majestic force of water cascading from the sky.

In the low mountain area, the Shuanglong Waterfall plunges down steep cliffs, scattering thousands of pearls and splashing countless silver blossoms, creating a spectacular scene of two soaring dragons. The Yuxian Waterfall, descending over layered rock, flows gracefully like shimmering silver threads. The Luye Pool offers a unique view with its emerald green water, as if carved from jade, rippling with gentle waves.

In the high mountain area, Lanxi Waterfall is renowned as the world's highest waterfall, originating from the "Mihun Dang" (Lost Maze). Stretching 2,500 meters with a year-round flow, it forms the Lanxi Waterfall with a three-tier drop of about 1,040 meters, vividly displaying the grandeur of a waterfall plummeting three thousand and one feet. The Yuanxi Waterfall, cascading from the mountaintop and hanging on the cliff, is shrouded in mist, rich in negative oxygen ions. Standing at the cliff's edge and shouting to the sky, the towering cliffs echo through the empty valley.

02 A Lake Emerges on the Table Mountain, Vast Green Waves Like a Painted Screen

Besides the magnificent thousand-foot waterfalls, this largest table mountain in Asia also has a gentle side. This "Noah's Ark above the Clouds" nurtures a serene and beautiful painting of vast green waves.

"Mandarin ducks fly over the Dharma realm, the long bridge forever lies on the waves. The high plateau is untouched by human traces, misty rains make it unfit for farming." This is a precious mirror embedded in the vast forest—Yuanyang Pond (Mandarin Duck Pond). Located at the center of Wawu Mountain's highland plateau, covering an area of 100 mu, the pond has clear springs flowing all year round, surrounded by fir and rhododendron forests. At this time each year, the mountain rhododendrons adorn it with a huge floral wreath, as gentle breezes blow and cuckoos sing softly.

A lake emerges in the deep gorge, calm as a mirror, reflecting the sky and clouds, like the gentle and graceful Yanya Woman—hence the name Yanya Lake. Yanya Lake has seven canyons, 18 peninsulas, and 24 docks of various sizes. The green mountains on all sides are like a painted screen, and the lake's green waves stretch far and wide—a perfect symphony of mountain and water. Sitting on a bench by Yanya Lake, sipping mountain tea, and gazing at the distant white lake water, a unique feeling arises in the heart.

03 Following the Trail of the Green Wonderland, Immersed in Earthly Fragrance

The 15,000-mu highland platform rises into the clouds, truly living up to its name as the largest table mountain in Asia. It stretches like a vast primeval forest, with a forest coverage rate of up to 98% and a negative oxygen ion content of over 25,000 per cubic centimeter. Additionally, according to professional assessments, Wawu Mountain's geomagnetic force is 0.53 Gauss (second only to Bama in Guangxi, the world's longevity town, at 0.58 Gauss).

In Wawu Mountain, many trees are over a hundred years old, with the oldest exceeding a thousand years. Species include beech, yew, and Picea brachytyla. Isolated forests and deadwood landscapes can be seen everywhere. With dense forests, waterfalls, and green pools, strolling through this green wonderland and conversing with nature is utterly delightful!

In addition to the vast forest area and over 3,600 plant species, Wawu Mountain is also home to more than 460 wildlife species. It is the nearest giant panda habitat to Chengdu, known as the "Museum of Animals and Plants," and considered a global gene bank of flora and fauna. Walking through the forest, you can see various birds, squirrels, and other small creatures.

From the summit of Wawu Mountain, one can witness wonders such as sunrise, sea of clouds, rainbows, Buddha's light, holy lamps, and three suns, with the sea of clouds being the most common. The summer sea of clouds is the freshest, with a clear blue sky and a tender, ethereal interaction between the sea of clouds and the clear sky, making one feel as light as a fairy.

Snow-white cloud masses roll, collide, and crowd in the sky like ocean waves. Though not ocean blue, they possess the vastness of the sea. Standing on the mountaintop watching the "waves" surge, with a gentle breeze brushing the ears, one feels relaxed and joyful, experiencing the exquisite artistic conception of "the sea ends where the sky is the shore, and the fairyland is on earth."

05 Early Summer Arrives, 10-Hour Early Summer Theme Live Stream

It is reported that to let everyone experience the early summer splendor of Wawu Mountain in advance, the official team will start a 10-hour uninterrupted early summer theme live stream on April 26. It is said that on the day of the live stream, four major ticket优惠政策 (preferential policies) will be released, allowing visitors to enjoy Wawu Mountain for as little as 1 yuan.
