Summer Arrives Early! Verdant Mountains and Green Waters Intoxicate at Wawu, a Green Wonderland Painted In, Embark on a Hidden Realm Journey!
Chilly ice and snow create a dream in the southern land, while green mountains and clear waters paint unparalleled beauty. Recently, as the weather warms up, the primeval forest of Wawu Mountain, the closest to Chengdu, has entered summer ahead of schedule. This green wonderland is donning new attire, opening up a hidden summer realm.
01 Ten Li of Clear Streams and Thousand-Foot Waterfalls, Ten Thousand Flowing Springs Play Heavenly Music
Wawu Mountain is located in the "West China Rain Screen," one of China's rainiest regions, and combined with its unique mesa geological structure, it is truly a world of flowing water and a paradise of waterfalls. At Wawu Mountain, you can witness the majestic momentum of water cascading from the heavens.
In the low-altitude area, the Shuanglong Waterfall plunges down along steep cliffs, scattering ten thousand pearls, splashing a thousand silver flowers, spraying pearls and snow, with a magnificent momentum, presenting the sight of two dragons soaring. There is also the Yuxian Waterfall, which falls over a thousand layers of rock, like silken threads moving gently and elegantly. The Lvyetan (Green Leaf Pool) offers a unique view, with emerald green water as if carved from jade, rippling blue waves, and shimmering water light...
In the high-altitude area, the Lanxi Waterfall boasts the reputation of being the world's highest waterfall. Originating from the "Mihun Dang" (Lost Soul Marsh), it stretches 2,500 meters, flowing year-round, forming three tiers with a drop of about 1,040 meters, vividly displaying the spectacular sight of a torrent plunging three thousand and one feet. The Yuanxi Waterfall, cascading from the mountaintop and hanging on the cliff, is shrouded in mist, creating abundant negative oxygen ions. Standing at the cliff's edge, one can shout to the sky, with towering cliffs and echoes in the hollow valley...

02 Mesa Creates a Flat Lake, Green Waves Vast as a Painted Screen
Beyond the majestic thousand-foot waterfalls, this largest mesa in Asia also has a gentle side. This "Noah's Ark above the Clouds" nurtures a tranquil and beautiful picture of vast green waves.

"Mandarin ducks fly above the Dharma realm, the long bridge lies sleeping across the waves forever. The high plateau is vast and untouched, with misty rain and cold making it unfit for farming." This is the Yuanyang (Mandarin Duck) Pool, a mirror inlaid in the vast sea of forests. Located at the center of Wawu Mountain's plateau platform, covering an area of 100 mu, with clear springs flowing year-round, surrounded by fir and azalea forests. At this time each year, the mountain of azaleas adorns it with a huge floral wreath, with a gentle breeze and the leisurely call of cuckoos.

A flat lake emerges in a deep gorge, as smooth as a mirror, reflecting the sky and clouds, as gentle and serene as a Ya girl—hence the name Yahu Lake. Yahu Lake features seven canyons, eighteen peninsulas, and twenty-four piers of various sizes. The green mountains on all sides are like a painted screen, and the lake's green waves stretch vast—this is the most beautiful symphony of mountains and water. Sitting on a bench by Yahu Lake, sipping mountain tea, and gazing at the distant bright lake water brings a unique feeling to the heart.

03 Tracing the Green Wonderland, Intoxicated by the World's Fragrance
The 15,000-mu plateau platform rises into the clouds, living up to its reputation as Asia's largest mesa. It is like a vast primeval forest, with a forest coverage rate as high as 98% and a negative oxygen ion content of over 25,000 per cubic centimeter. Additionally, according to professional company assessments, the geomagnetic intensity of Wawu Mountain is 0.53 Gauss (second only to Bama in Guangxi, the world's longevity hometown, with 0.58 Gauss).
In Wawu Mountain, many trees are over a hundred years old, with the oldest exceeding a thousand years. Species include beech, yew, and Likiang spruce. Isolated forests and deadwood landscapes are common. Dense forests, flying waterfalls, and emerald pools—how delightful it is to stroll through this green wonderland and converse with nature!

In addition to its vast forest area and more than 3,600 plant species, Wawu Mountain is also home to over 460 species of wildlife. It is the closest giant panda habitat to Chengdu and is honored as a "Museum of Animals and Plants," a genetic treasure trove of the world's flora and fauna. Walking through the forest, you can see various birds, squirrels, and other little creatures.

04 Summer Blue Sky, Flooding into the Boundless Sea of Clouds
From the summit of Wawu Mountain, you can observe wonders such as sunrise, sea of clouds, rainbows, Buddha's light, holy lamps, and even three suns. The most common sight is the sea of clouds. The summer sea of clouds is the freshest, with a clear azure sky and the intersection of clouds and clear sky, tender and lingering, making you feel ethereal.
Snow-white cloud clusters roll, collide, and crowd in the air like ocean waves. Though not as blue as the sea, they have the vastness of the sea. Standing on the mountaintop watching the "waves" surge, with a gentle breeze brushing your ears, your heart is relaxed and joyful, evoking a beautiful artistic conception where the sea meets the sky as a shore, and a fairyland exists in the human world.
