Picking Apples at TNTproduce Orchard in Sydney
What a great day! Going out to pick apples at the apple orchard!
Picking apples at the orchard is a wonderful opportunity for children to get close to nature and learn about apple growth.
Located at Kurts Rd, Bilpin NSW 2758 in Sydney, the TNT produce apple orchard also has chickens, geese, and alpacas. Children can feed the animals, which is also a nice experience. Since it's a holiday, many locals have brought their children here.
Before we arrived, many visitors had already come. On that day, there were quite a few tourists, and we even had to queue to enter. It seems that people, troubled by the long pandemic, have mostly chosen outdoor outings after the government fully reopened.
Walking into the orchard, the main path is lined with fruit trees on both sides, neatly arranged in rows. Under the sunlight, from a distance, some red fruits are very enticing.
The entrance fee is $3 per person, children are free. If visitors want to take away the fruits they pick, they need to pay $5 per kilogram. If visitors pick too many, they can also put the extra fruits into the large baskets prepared by the farm owner.
Rows are opened one by one. After picking one row, another row is opened.
This row is not yet open, and a warning sign is placed at the entrance: "Closed, No Picking Here."
In the orchard, visitors can eat the fruits freely; the farm owner does not charge extra.
The apple trees are not very tall, but the fruits at the top still require climbing to reach. Near the ground, decent-looking apples are already scarce.
Rotten apples discarded by visitors can be seen everywhere in the orchard.
When I took a bite of the freshly picked apple, it was full of moisture and sweet, with a unique apple fragrance filling my mouth. After finishing one, I had the urge to eat another.
Besides picking apples, there are also chickens, geese, and alpacas. Children can feed the animals, which is also a nice experience.
