Picking Flowers at Glenbernie Family Farm on the Outskirts of Sydney
On the third day of the 2022 Easter holiday, I came to a flower farm in Kurmond about an hour's drive from Sydney. The most eye-catching sight was the entire sunflower sea at the entrance. The flowers on the hillside were also blooming nicely, colorful and quite beautiful for photos. The farm was not big, and we finished walking through it quickly. With extra time, we went to see newborn calves nearby, which were very cute. Admission was 10 yuan per person, and cut flowers taken away cost 4 yuan per stem.
This is Glenbernie Family Farms, a small flower farm run by the couple Marika and John Saliba.
The most eye-catching part of the flower field is the entire sea of sunflowers at the entrance.
The farm is open from 9 am to 3 pm every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and offers a flower-picking experience. Visitors can stroll through the golden sunflower fields, take happy photos, and then pick their favorite bouquets to take home.
This flower farm is filled with sunflowers, cockscomb, cosmos, dahlias, delphiniums, zinnias, zinnias, cornflowers, snapdragons, etc.
Visiting the farm to pick flowers during the pandemic is a good choice—you can breathe fresh air, and there are few people.
Remember to apply sunscreen to avoid sunburn.
This flower farm is said to have flowers all year round. The farm is small, but it's okay for taking photos. However, there's nothing else special, and I think the picking price is a bit expensive.
