Stepping into the Maple Leaf Town of Blackheath in Sydney, It Feels Like Being in a Romantic Fairy Tale Land
The maple leaf town of Blackheath in Sydney is located near the Blue Mountains, founded in 1831. In 1815, when Governor Macquarie surveyed the area, he thought the place had a black and rugged appearance and named it Blackheath. The town is small, with a short street lined with shops. As soon as you enter the town, you see the entire street full of colorful leaves. It’s truly beautiful—a paradise for photographers! The spectacular colorful mural on the exterior wall of the Victory Theatre was designed by artist Jenny Kee in 1985, and it's very impressive. The town lies at the foot of the Blue Mountains in Sydney, a dreamy mountain village. The street is flanked by historic buildings and beautiful gardens. It is a very beautiful, peaceful, and vibrant town. At the center of the main street is a park commemorating the soldiers of World War I and World War II. In the park, towering trees can be seen reaching straight into the sky. There are not only maple leaves here but also lush green lawns. Bring some food and enjoy life to the fullest in nature! In front of the town's houses and along the roads, cheerful colors are everywhere—bright red leaves, brilliant yellow leaves, pleasing to the eye and full of poetry, making you feel as if you are in a romantic fairy tale land.
