Strolling through the annual Italian Food Festival on Great North Road, Five Dock, Sydney
Saw news that the 25th Ferragosto Italian Food and Culture Festival is being held in Five Dock, inner west Sydney. Like most events, this Italian food festival has many food stalls, handicraft stalls, some song and dance performances, some small children's amusement rides, and other activities! Taking advantage of the sunny Sunday, it was a great day for a walk, so I drove to Great North Road, Five Dock, Sydney. Five Dock is a concentrated area where Italians live, and the annual Italian Food Festival was being held there, so I went to experience the festive atmosphere. We arrived a little after 11 a.m., and the venue was already packed with people, stretching as far as the eye could see. With over 200 stalls, you could not only taste all kinds of Italian cuisine, but also enjoy various song and dance performances, children's shows, and children's amusement facilities — it's very suitable for a family outing with kids. As a classic Italian dish, pizza was sold everywhere. Gelato, Italian ice cream, was definitely not to be missed, and the queue was already very long. Police were patrolling the area. On the main street, there were many people dressed in traditional Italian costumes, adding to the festive atmosphere. There was also a dance team performing at the festival, making it very lively. A TV station photographer was broadcasting the grand occasion of the food festival live. There was a swing ride that young people enjoy. There were also vintage car displays on site.
