Sydney's Little Congwong Beach in Winter
The beach adjacent to the east of La Perouse Beach in Sydney is called Congwong Beach. This name likely comes from the indigenous people. It is a calm bay suitable for swimming and snorkeling, but not for surfing.
It is said to be a gay nude beach, but there are signs nearby that read "No nudity on or around Congwong and Little Congwong Beaches," along with a phone number for reporting violations.
Past Congwong Beach, there is a fork in the path leading to Little Congwong Beach, which is a nude beach. However, those who come here to sunbathe nude are mostly elderly men.
Looking back from Little Congwong Beach towards Bare Island and La Perouse. This nude beach is not officially recognized, probably because it is too close to the tourist attraction of Bare Island.
It was the coldest season in Australia at the end of July, and there was no one swimming on the beach. Only seagulls were chasing the waves, soaring up and down with wings spread.
