Nobbys Beach in Newcastle, Australia

Like a local, take a leisurely stroll along the seaside of Newcastle's Southend Esplanade. In the distance, on Nobbys Island, a solitary lighthouse stands, offering a unique view from every angle.

Like Sydney, Newcastle is also a harbor city with beautiful beaches, but its population is small, less than 300,000, giving it a relaxed and tranquil atmosphere, making it a great place for a weekend getaway or vacation.

Newcastle boasts numerous excellent beaches where visitors can experience the sound of waves, fresh air, soft sand, and the deep blue ocean.

In a coastal city, the main attraction is the sea. Here, there is a famous white sand beach that is a source of pride for the locals. No matter where you are in the city, someone will recommend the white sand beach to you. It has now become a local symbol.

During our walk, we saw a uniquely shaped red sculpture, the "Pasha Bulker Ship Grounding Monument." In 2007, the coal ship Pasha Bulker ran aground in this harbor and remained stranded for 25 days. To commemorate this event, the Newcastle City Council decided to erect this sculpture here.
