In Sydney, spending New Year's Eve with family, went to Chatswood's Star City Seafood Restaurant for dim sum at noon, strolled along the street in the afternoon. Chinese Australians celebrate the Lunar New Year every year, but some celebrations have been forced to cancel over the past three years due to the pandemic. This year's Chatswood Lunar New Year celebration is one of Sydney's largest events for the Year of the Rabbit. The pedestrian street is decorated with festive ornaments, grand performances are organized outside the performing arts center, featuring Chinese opera, Mandarin pop songs, and traditional dance.
