A Glimpse of Australia: Sydney and Blue Mountains National Park
Sydney, the birthplace of Australia, is now the largest city in Oceania. Space, sunshine, and freedom are the most striking impressions Sydney leaves on people. With its excellent sea views, it was just a wilderness over 200 years ago, but now it has become Australia's most prosperous modern and international metropolis, known as the 'New York of the Southern Hemisphere'. Blue Mountains National Park is located in New South Wales, Australia, 81 kilometers west of Sydney, and lies in the Blue Mountains region of the Great Dividing Range. The park covers an area of 268,987 hectares. Its boundaries are irregularly shaped, separated from the outside world by roads, urban areas, and private gardens. Although called 'mountains', this area is actually an uplifted plateau.
