Discovering Ancient Capital Culture, Embarking on an InterContinental Life – Checking in at the First InterContinental Hotel in Northwest China
Xi'an, a city with a thousand-year-old capital, a national historical and cultural city, one of China's Four Great Ancient Capitals, and the famous starting point of the Silk Road, is also China's best tourist destination.
Stepping out of the elevator, I walked through the corridor that resembled a stone-paved street of ancient Chang'an and arrived at the door of the guest room. Before entering, I was already captivated by the "bianzhong" (bronze bells) outside the room. The tradition of "morning bell and evening drum" is a scenic hallmark of the ancient city of Xi'an. Inspired by this, choosing bianzhong as the "doorbell" – isn't it a perfect blend of form and meaning?
Facing me was an entrance hall, and behind it a second door. Slowly pulling it open, the entire room suddenly revealed itself in full view.
As the largest sports park in Xi'an, it boasts well-maintained jogging paths, four dedicated courts for ball game enthusiasts, and, more importantly, lush tree-lined avenues and a surrounding lake. No wonder it becomes a paradise for nearby residents every evening. How could I miss out on such a perk?
