Dreams of Zhongnan, Sparkling Chang’an – A Summer Night Escape at Louguan Ecotourism Resort

At 7:00 PM on June 12, the 'Xilv Four Seasons · Happy Planet Cool Summer — 2nd Louguan Summer Night Carnival' officially kicked off at the Zhao Gongming Cultural Scenic Area. Over a thousand people, including guests from Xi'an Tourism Group, the management office of Xi'an Louguan Ecotourism and Cultural Resort, media, and visitors, attended the launch ceremony.

As the crowd counted down together and a lighting ball was activated, the lantern displays inside Zhao Gongming Cultural Scenic Area lit up one after another from near to far, turning the entire park into a dreamlike sea of brilliant light. Renowned Xi'an musician Wang Jianfang and his band performed live songs such as 'Chang’an Night' and 'Our Homeboy Is the God of Wealth,' officially kicking off this cool summer night fun party.

This Louguan Summer Night Carnival is part of the 'Chang’an Night · My Night' nighttime tourism brand. Centered on the God of Wealth (Caishen) folk culture at the Zhao Gongming Cultural Scenic Area, it features lighting as the core, performances as highlights, and immersive experiences as the main thread. Through themed atmospheres, immersive spectacular shows, a hands-on food square, and an interactive cultural and creative market, the carnival creates a grand night event that combines eating, drinking, playing, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment. The event runs from June 12 to August 29, with tickets priced at 30 yuan per person, available both online and offline.

Twinkling lights, brilliant starlight — dreams of Zhongnan, enchanting night shadows: the magic and fantasy of Louguan summer nights are unveiled. Over twenty groups of stunning lantern displays light up the midsummer nights at Louguan. Upon entering the park, the 'Chinese Drum' installation catches your eye, radiating a joyous and harmonious atmosphere. The Love Corridor on Marriage Path, along with diamond and crystal-themed lights, creates a romantic journey to the temple of love. Along the way to Wendao Pavilion, the 'Forest Secret Realm' themed lighting features unique designs and lifelike forms, blending seamlessly with trees, flowers, and other garden landscapes to immerse you in a serene natural calm... There are also lanterns themed around 'Starry Sky,' 'Little Bear,' 'God of Wealth,' 'Money Tree,' 'Fireflies,' and many more, all artistically shaped and enchantingly beautiful. Strolling among the twinkling and glittering lights, you’ll be amazed by a thousand years of time.

The carnival invites celebrated musicians and bands such as Wang Jianfang, Xuanniao, and Ting Nanmen Shuo, as well as national-level Qinqiang opera performers from the Yisu Society and artists from the provincial Peking Opera Theatre... Every week, big names bring themed performances like 'Rock Night,' 'Folk Classics,' 'Youth Campus,' 'Qinqiang Highlights,' and 'Red Song Special,' belting out the strongest sounds under Louguan’s night sky. In addition to the headliners, every Friday to Sunday evening, the stage area at Wendao Pavilion presents a rich musical feast, inviting visitors to enjoy a passionate and joyful journey of 'music and lights' surrounded by thousands of brilliant lanterns.

On midsummer nights, beer and barbecue are not to be missed. Enjoy cool mountain breezes at the foot of the Zhongnan Mountains, chatting and drinking with friends over meat and drinks, savoring a comfortable summer chill-out party; or wander through a variety of specialty food stalls to discover a foodie’s joy, munching while enjoying stage performances, letting the dynamic rhythm blend with the beautiful scenery and flavors of night Louguan. After eating, you can also watch the Shaanxi intangible cultural heritage ceremony 'Welcoming the God of Wealth and Praying for Prosperity,' suspended performance art, and more, or have fun in the amusement zone and rediscover the innocence of childhood...
