Xi'an New West Business Entrepreneurs Association on the Front Lines of the COVID-19 Fight

Hand in hand, overcoming difficulties! Since the COVID-19 outbreak and the start of the lockdown in Xi'an on December 23, 2021, the New West Business entrepreneurs have been on the front lines of the pandemic fight! At the initiative and under the leadership of President Xu Fengying, member companies of the Xi'an New West Business Entrepreneurs Association have actively organized various anti-epidemic supplies, carried out self-help, and spontaneously donated various protective materials and emergency daily necessities to front-line personnel across Xi'an.

As of January 7, 2022, some of the supplies directly organized, coordinated, and donated by the Xi'an New West Business Entrepreneurs Association include: 220,000 surgical masks, 30,000 N95 masks, 2,000 protective suits, 3,700 bottles of hypochlorous acid disinfectant, as well as gloves, alcohol, face shields, shoe covers, instant noodles, self-heating hot pots, and more. These have been donated successively to Chang'an University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an University of Finance and Economics, front-line workers in Baqiao, Huyi, Fangzhicheng sub-district offices, homeless people in Chang'an District, and volunteers in Du Hui Village, Chang'an, with a cumulative total value of nearly 600,000 yuan.

On December 29, 2021, Xi'an University of Finance and Economics received the first batch of anti-epidemic supplies donated by Xu Fengying, President of the New West Business Entrepreneurs Association, and member Liu Cong. On December 30, the second batch of donated supplies arrived at the university.

Through contacts and docking arranged by the New West Business Entrepreneurs Association, and with coordinated logistics vehicle distribution, on the afternoon of December 31, Xi'an Jiaotong University received 3,700 bottles of hypochlorous acid disinfectant worth more than 200,000 yuan, donated by Yanwei Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.

As the COVID-19 outbreak hit Xi'an, entrepreneurs in the city took action one after another, actively participating in various anti-epidemic donation activities. Xi'an Guomei Electrical Appliances Co., Ltd., a founding executive vice president unit of the Xi'an New West Business Entrepreneurs Association, took the lead. It donated 20,000 N95 masks, as well as large quantities of flour, rapeseed oil, instant noodles, electric heaters, warm air blowers, and heating pads to Xi'an Post Bureau couriers, the Lantian Red Cross, Dianzicheng Sub-district Office, and Yan'an region, with a cumulative value of over 200,000 yuan.

At the same time, at a critical moment in the fight against the epidemic, when it learned that the Xiangyanggou epidemic isolation site urgently needed daily necessities, Xi'an Guomei responded quickly and actively. Within a day and a half, it urgently coordinated resources from all sides, mobilized 3,000 induction cookers, and rushed to assist the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Commerce, delivering supplies to the Xiangyanggou isolation site in seamless coordination!

Luomadan Pharmaceutical:

Xi Binqun, vice president of the Xi'an New West Business Entrepreneurs Association, member of the Chunhua County CPPCC in Xianyang, Shaanxi, and chairman of Shaanxi Luomadan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., was stranded in a community in Xi'an but still cared deeply about local epidemic donations. He gave telephone instructions to the person in charge of the production plant of Shaanxi Luomadan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. to donate more than 10,000 barrels of Chunhua buckwheat noodles (hele), over 2,000 bags of simple packaging, and 19 boxes of honeysuckle and cassia seed tea, with a total value of nearly 250,000 yuan, to the Chunhua County Epidemic Prevention Headquarters, public security and traffic police departments, health bureau, and related sub-district offices' front-line anti-epidemic workers!

Due to the sudden outbreak and extremely rapid spread of the epidemic, front-line protective supplies were relatively scarce. On December 31, Song Yang, chairman of Shaanxi Zhongxin Hengye, on behalf of the company and its party branch, delivered a batch of anti-epidemic supplies worth more than 50,000 yuan, including 10,000 masks and 1,500 protective suits, to front-line grassroots workers at Gaoke Property Xiari Jingse Community, Tiandi Yuan Property (Fenglin Lüzhou Community), Yicuiyuan Property, Ziwei Tianyuan Dushi Property, and Cuiyuan Peitao Apartment Property.

Entering January 2022, Zhongxin Hengye successively donated 500 boxes of vegetables, 500 boxes of instant noodles, 500 boxes of toon sprouts, and 10,000 yuan in cash to the Qianxian Red Cross and the Shangnan County medical team, with a cumulative donation value of 160,000 yuan.

On the afternoon of December 26, Zhang Tao, member of the Baqiao District CPPCC, member of the New West Business Entrepreneurs Association, and chairman of Shaanxi Qianqiu Industrial Co., Ltd., along with his team, came to Xinzhu Sub-district Office of Xi'an International Trade & Logistics Park. They brought urgently needed 40,000 disposable surgical masks and 500 protective suits, as well as 50 boxes of apples and 1,200 barrels of instant noodles, contributing modest efforts of a local enterprise to the epidemic prevention and control workers who have always stuck to the front lines. In addition, Shaanxi Qianqiu Industrial Co., Ltd. successively donated 23,000 yuan in cash to Xinzhu Sub-district Office, Tongxing Village in Jiangcun Town, Huyi, and Zhigukou Village in Shijing Town, Huyi, and 20,000 surgical masks to front-line anti-epidemic workers in Fangzhicheng via the New West Business Entrepreneurs Association, with cumulative donations exceeding 100,000 yuan.
