Baotou Travel Guide | Spring Arrives, Apricot Blossoms Cover Dayan Beach
Since ancient times, Baotou's Dayan Beach has been a land of feng shui. With abundant water and fertile soil, the apricot tree—a deciduous tree species—thrives here. Combined with the unique geographical environment surrounded by mountains, the apricot fruits generally ripen earlier than in other regions. The famous Goumen big apricots are produced here. In 2013, the local government collected scattered farmland from households and transformed a century-old fruit forest area into what is now the Dayan Beach scenic spot. Every spring, when the season arrives, the 5,000-acre Dayan Beach scenic spot is covered with pinkish-white apricot blossoms as far as the eye can see. You can imagine it feels like stepping into a paradise.
