About Bali Honeymoon Trip - Beach Entertainment + Attractions Introduction
1. Tanah Lot: Built on a huge rock by the sea, it is one of the most famous temples in Bali. At high tide, the temple is surrounded by seawater, completely cut off from the land. It can only be reached at low tide. On the cliff opposite the rock, there is a small cave where several poisonous sea snakes are found. Legend says they are the temple's guardians, preventing demons and other intruders. It is said that when the temple was built, a huge wave suddenly struck, putting the temple in danger. A monk inside untied his belt and threw it into the sea. The belt turned into two sea snakes that finally calmed the waves. Since then, the sea snakes have become the temple's guardians. On the opposite shore, there is a small pavilion overlooking the sunset, making it one of Bali's holy sights.
There are many shops on both sides of the road in front of the temple, selling various souvenirs. The handicrafts here are famous, including wood carvings, stone carvings, and silver jewelry. In addition, there are many food stalls selling grilled seafood, sesame cakes, and the like. On the land opposite the temple, there is a small pavilion where you can overlook the sunset scenery, one of Bali's scenic spots. At the entrance of Tanah Lot, a friend mentioned that the floral shirts and T-shirts there have many patterns, are relatively cheap, and of good quality. Average price is about Rp20,000 per piece.
2. Jimbaran Beach: Jimbaran Beach is famous for its beautiful sunsets and the unique fishing methods of the local fishermen. In the evening, watching the sunset while listening to singers performing songs from various countries, and enjoying seafood barbecue, is a special experience. The sunset is truly beautiful; every moment of the entire process has a different feeling, like a performance with the sea and sky as the stage.
You must arrive at Jimbaran Beach before 6 p.m. because the sunset occurs around 6:15 p.m. at Jimbaran. It may vary depending on the date, so it's best to confirm with the driver you hired locally. A famous restaurant on the beach is Sharkey's. The restaurant's crabs, prawns, squid, and shellfish are all delicious and reasonably priced, about Rp350,000. Order a set of seafood barbecue, two servings of rice, some cold dishes, plus a bottle of beer and a drink. As you sit and wait for the food, the sun slowly sinks below the horizon. The entire beach turns golden, making for amazing photos. The seafood barbecue is cooked using dry coconut shells as fuel, with butter, garlic, and local curry sauce β it tastes wonderful. When it gets dark, the waiters light two candles for each table. The candle lights on the beach form a continuous stretch, flickering vividly in the sea breeze. On the nearby hills, there are also twinkling candle lights.
3. Uluwatu Cliff (Lover's Cliff): Rp3,000 per person. Uluwatu Cliff is located at the southernmost tip of Bali. Behind it there is a tragic love story. Legend says that a young couple from mismatched social backgrounds fell in love. The woman's father was the village chief, so their love received no blessings. In despair, they both jumped into the sea and died together. This adds a strange and romantic touch to the place. Before going, I heard there were monkeys there. Upon arrival, Wayan supervised me and JM as we removed small hair clips, hair ties, necklaces, rings, bracelets, and watches. We were also not allowed to wear hats or sunglasses. At the entrance, bananas are sold for feeding the monkeys, Rp5,000 per bag. Lover's Cliff: The scenery is actually good; it would be even better with a sunset.
4. Nusa Dua Beach: After intense bargaining, we chose activities like diving, parasailing, and jet skiing. Snorkeling involved taking a boat to a water area not far from the shore. The water here is very murky. For netizens coming again, do not waste these tens of dollars. The water here is far worse than Phi Phi Island in Phuket. Parasailing and jet skiing were okay, and diving was passable. Although there were many fish, the water was still quite turbid.
1. Do not go shopping at the DUTY FREE SHOPPERS wholesale mall! Prices for local products are very expensive. For example, a bottle of HATTEN rosΓ© wine made in Sanur costs more than at any local restaurant! If you want to buy a nice French top, designer handbag, jewelry, or dress for a special occasion, absolutely do not purchase at DFS: All imported goods you buy at DFS, including clothes and accessories, will be directly delivered to the airport and cannot be used in Bali. When buying from vendors at tourist attractions such as Tanah Lot, be especially careful of fake artists from Tenganan 'Bali Aga' village, who are very familiar with the prices of 'antique' textile fakes but deliberately set high prices (even selling spray-dyed rather than woven fabrics).
2. Don't buy fruit at Tanah Lot. Go to the collection supermarket. It's 12,000 Rp per kilogram, half the price offered by guides, and very delicious!
3. The sunset package at Jimbaran Beach is worth trying, but mainly for the scenery.
4. This time I tried parasailing, and it was pretty good. Piyu's quote was reasonable. The feeling of overlooking the sea from the air is amazing.
5. It is recommended to arrange 2-3 days to watch the sunset at Tanah Lot or Jimbaran Beach.
