Today I'm Sharing How I Pulled Off My Wedding for Just Over 20,000 Yuan
Wedding venue: The Edge Villa, Uluwatu, Bali
Number of guests: 10
Every girl has dreamed of her wedding, and I'm no exception~ I like simplicity, a sense of ceremony, with my loving groom and family by my side, that's enough. Usually, people think a wedding must be lively, following all sorts of complicated customs, especially in the northern city where I'm from, many parents don't understand overseas weddings. Here, I have to thank our parents for being so open-minded.
Coincidentally, I found online that there's a company in our city that organizes overseas weddings. My husband and I went for a consultation. The guy who received us, Daniel, was very enthusiastic and especially professional~ They offer a one-stop wedding service, providing the venue, decorations, wedding dress, makeup and photography, videography, and on-site wedding coordination. The venue cost includes all these services. Before learning about it, I never imagined an overseas wedding could be so affordable. Nowadays, domestic weddings casually exceed this amount. For those who don't travel abroad often or have language barriers, don't worry—they also offer honeymoon travel services.
Since we hadn't taken our pre-wedding photos in China, we also booked a travel wedding photoshoot, scheduled for the day after the wedding. That way, the wedding and photos are all done together, saving the trouble of finding a separate photoshoot company. Because there are many details to communicate for the wedding, Daniel and I exchanged WeChat so we could stay in touch anytime.
Next, let me introduce the wedding venue: The Edge Villa, a star wedding venue in Bali, perched on the cliffs of Uluwatu, facing the vast Indian Ocean with stunning ocean views. The resort consists entirely of villa accommodations. If you care about the hotel environment, privacy, and your wedding guest count isn't too large, I highly recommend this venue.
Regarding the wedding, the wedding company actually handles all the details on the day—just follow their schedule, and you hardly need to worry about anything. The wedding is divided into three parts:
1. Pre-wedding preparations: While the makeup artist is doing my makeup, the photographer and videographer will first capture some wedding material, like the venue setup and wedding items. After makeup, we'll take some pre-wedding photos, such as robe shots and tea ceremony (if you don't want the tea ceremony segment, that's also okay).
2. The wedding ceremony: The weather was exceptionally good, the blues of sky and sea seamlessly connecting into one. At that sacred and solemn moment, I walked arm in arm with my father, who handed me over to the man I'll spend the rest of my life with. Since I'm usually not very expressive and a quiet girl, the vow moment turned into my husband's solo declaration to me. Scenes from our journey together, the happy ones and the sad ones, flashed through my mind one by one. I almost couldn't hold back tears, feeling grateful for having you by my side in the life ahead.
3. After the ceremony, we took some photos around the villa and hotel. Thanks to Daniel for recommending the afternoon time slot. As the sun went down, the silhouettes we captured were absolutely stunning—no retouching needed, they were breathtakingly beautiful.
I'm so fortunate to have chosen Weiting Overseas Weddings in Xi'an—over 20,000 yuan was an incredible value. I give the overall service and experience five stars. If you're also looking forward to a ceremony-filled overseas wedding, don't hesitate.
At the end, I'll list some tips for everyone: 1. If you don't want to end up looking like an African bride, it's best to follow the planner's advice and schedule the wedding before sightseeing. Bali's UV rays are very strong and you can easily get tanned, so be sure to prepare ample sun protection. 2. There are lots of mosquitoes and bugs locally, so mosquito repellent is a must—don't forget to bring it! 3. Be sure to pack some common medications, like for fever or diarrhea. The local medicines might not suit your body.
