Bali|Summer Water Play: A Summer in the Waterfall
Bali is a world-famous tourist island, and the beauty of its sea goes without saying. However, spending every day staring at the beach, sunbathing, or going out to sea for diving, there comes a time when you want a change of pace. Want a day that is different, away from the ocean but still able to play in water, with a surge of adrenaline? Then come with me to explore the Sambangan Waterfalls!
🌟 Hidden in the mountains and rice fields of northern Bali, the Sambangan Secret Garden Waterfalls can be called an adventure paradise. The entire waterfall group consists of six waterfalls of varying sizes and a crystal-clear deep pool. It is one of the few waterfalls in Bali where you can be 100% close to nature and have intimate contact. Here, you can jump off diving platforms of different heights (5m/10m/15m), or slide into the water on natural slides. Most of the path consists of cement steps, which are easy to walk, suitable for parent-child/family trips.
👉 Entering from the entrance, you need to walk a short stretch of country road and rice fields, pass through a wall covered with vines, and descend the steps. The first thing that comes into view is a small deep pool. This is the first stop of the waterfall adventure—a 5-meter-high diving platform. Put on a life jacket, jump from here, swim to the opposite side, climb the stone steps to the top of the waterfall, and the guide will teach you the right posture to slide down the waterfall into the pool! As long as you have enough energy, you can do it unlimited times.
From here onward, there are a few small-drop water slides.
Walk a bit further, and the more thrilling parts come.
The 10-meter and 15-meter diving platforms make most people hesitate! It's time to show your true manhood, but you must keep a vertical posture when entering the water, otherwise you may get hurt.
Most of the waterfall group allows jumping and playing in the water, and a guide will follow you to ensure safety.
⚠️ The only waterfall where you cannot enter the water is Aling Waterfall, located at the innermost part of the group. The Aling Waterfall has a drop of up to 90 feet, and the huge drop creates water mist that can be felt from over ten meters away. It holds sacred significance in the hearts of the locals, which is one of the reasons why tourists are prohibited from entering the water.
