First Stop of Hungary Trip - Budapest
I am a person who loves history, castles, and culture. Budapest has Fisherman's Bastion, a white Baroque structure. The setting sun passes through the arches, and the clear, wispy sunlight adds charm to the white Fisherman's Bastion. Although it is a modern building, it does not detract from its beauty. The Hilton Hotel inside has become the most scenic hotel in all of Budapest. From the window, you can see the entire Pest city and the Danube River, with crowds as tiny as ants bustling about, heavy traffic on the banks, and constant cruise ships. Buda Castle Hill next to Fisherman's Bastion is best viewed from the opposite bank to see its full view. The cool river breeze blows on your face. Sitting on a bench, listening to music while watching Buda Castle on the other side of the Danube, it is very pleasant. Occasionally, you might meet some elderly people who greet you. Do not miss Heroes' Square in City Park. This is a square where many historical events took place. There is even a Hungarian art film called 'Heroes' Square' that depicts the lives of young people after the Soviet Union withdrew from Hungary. Behind Heroes' Square are the Castle District, Park District, Museum District, Bath District, and Zoo District, places where I lingered and could not tear myself away. Soaking in the warm water of the baths and looking at the sky, I always start to reflect on my life. After the bath, watching a knight riding performance in the Castle District makes me feel like I have traveled back to the 18th century. In a restaurant, under candlelight, order a goulash appetizer. Its sour and spicy flavor is very appetizing. For the main course, a roasted pork dish with smoked pork skin that perfectly balances the greasiness, and the lean meat is tender and springy. Finally, a glass of Eger wine โ isn't that wonderful? In the evening, why not take a stroll along the Danube, listening to the artists play one Hungarian castanet folk tune after another.
