Dressed in light, comfortable clothes with my carry-on luggage, ready to start our 5-day, 4-night ultimate journey (Chengdu – Jiuzhaigou – Huanglong). We're leaving the city’s bustle behind to immerse ourselves in nature, savor Jiuzhaigou’s flavors, free our minds, cleanse our spirits, purify body and mind, and return to our true selves.

After arriving at Chengdu Shuangliu Airport, we were greeted by a friendly young man who warmly escorted us straight to our hotel in Chengdu.

After checking in, my companion and I visited the Yongling Museum in Chengdu, then sampled local Chengdu delicacies on a snack street—husband and wife lung slices, dandan noodles, Beichuan bean jelly, stone-ground tofu pudding, Erjie rabbit cubes, and sugar-coated fruit. During this time, wherever we went, we stayed on standby so the guide could reach us anytime.

After a restful night, we had breakfast at the hotel and set off on a happy second day.

We gathered at the hotel entrance and boarded our luxury VIP minibus. About two hours later, we arrived at the first scenic spot—Dujiangyan China Giant Panda Garden. Here, we saw many endearing giant pandas. Look, so many roly-polies—so adorable! Whether you're a child or an adult, you can't resist their cuteness.

The panda park’s Shuangnan Garden, Diequan Garden, Linze Garden, and Panpan Garden are fully open to the public. There are also many companion animals—red pandas, black bears, golden pheasants, silver pheasants, ring-necked pheasants, etc. You'll find botanical 'living fossils' like the Chinese dove tree, the 'king of ferns' (tree fern), and the yew, along with bamboo that pandas love: walking-stick bamboo, thorny black bamboo, square bamboo, and bitter bamboo. The lush greenery is soothing and calming.

In the afternoon, we visited Songzhou Ancient City in Songpan County, northeast of Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Songzhou Ancient City is a historic city in Sichuan, once a famous frontier fortress known as the 'Gateway to Western Sichuan'. A strategic military location in ancient times, it has endured countless wars. Its gray ancient walls record the vicissitudes of history and exude a deep, bold ethnic style.

On the city wall, we tried archery, tasted Tibetan horse tea, experienced 'Time Travel to the Tang Dynasty' and 'Border Patrol'—entertainment that brought ancient Songzhou’s long history and brilliant culture to life. Strings of red lanterns hung high under the eaves, and the rustic wooden buildings exuded a calm, solid charm—truly awe-inspiring. Here, we felt a spiritual journey across time.

In the evening, we arrived at our hotel in Jiuzhaigou. Under the guide’s arrangement, we went to a Tibetan-style hot pot dinner, experiencing the modern lifestyle and eating habits of the Tibetan people while singing and dancing with them. The broth was flavorful and spicy, with a unique heat. Thinly sliced meat, with just the right balance of fat and lean, cooked in seconds in the boiling broth, dipped in secret sauce—simply delicious! There were also local specialties. After the meal, patting my full belly, I gave it a thumbs-up. Watching the Tibetan dancers on stage, whose movements were inspired by nature, we couldn’t resist joining in. Yalaso…

After breakfast on day three, we headed to the highlight of our trip—Jiuzhaigou World Natural Heritage Site. Jiuzhaigou’s scenery is enchanting: under the deep blue sky and white clouds, the lake water is crystal clear, so you can see small fish and emerald water plants at the bottom. The mountain forests are brilliantly colored—bright yellow, maple red, verdant green, tender green… In the distance, snow-capped peaks stand immaculate, graceful yet majestic. Here, body and mind are completely immersed in nature, the soul finds peace, and every pore feels utter comfort.

Jiuzhaigou’s main valley is Y-shaped, dotted with lakes, waterfalls, and travertine shoals. Water is the star of Jiuzhaigou’s landscape: jade-green, translucent streams weave like necklaces through forests and shallows. Amid the colorful trees, countless waterfalls create rainbows large and small in the sunlight.

Jiuzhaigou’s Tibetan wooden houses, drying racks with prayer flags, plank bridges, and mills are cultural sights well worth seeing. Passing by the prayer flags, we reverently spun them, silently praying for blessings.

Back at the hotel that evening, I immediately sorted through the countless photos I’d taken during the day, then shared them on social media so everyone could experience Jiuzhaigou’s beauty.

On day four, we drove about two and a half hours to Huanglong Scenic Area. Located at the foot of Xuebaoding, the main peak of the Minshan Mountains in Songpan County, Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, Huanglong is famed for its 'four wonders': colorful pools, snow mountains, gorges, and forests. It’s a rare natural calcification museum, acclaimed as a 'World Wonder' and 'Fairyland on Earth'. Each pool has a different color, a different hue in every area, like gems embedded in the earth. The majestic snow mountains and the scenery below form a unique picture. The gorges hold meltwater, forming mirror-like lakes, like a fairy’s dressing mirror. The lush green forest, as if painted with ink, is soothing to the eyes, and the high concentration of negative ions invigorates both body and mind.

Good times are always fleeting. In the evening, we returned to Chengdu, and the guide arranged a car to take us back to the hotel.

On day five, after breakfast and check-out, our trip came to an end. There are no words to express how reluctant I am to leave the picturesque Jiuzhaigou. I can only look forward to visiting again on my next holiday. Goodbye, Jiuzhaigou. I will show your beauty to the world so everyone can understand you.

Many friends asked me which tour package this is, so I’m sharing the link instead of answering one by one.
