Since ancient times, Chengdu has been hailed as the 'Land of Abundance' and has always been a hot destination for domestic travel. Whether it's the gorgeous, bustling, and brilliantly lit Chengdu exuding charm, or the leisurely and tranquil Chengdu that emanates from narrow alleys and ancient temples, both capture the attention of travelers and deeply enchant me.
For this four-day, three-night trip to Chengdu, I did my homework thoroughly. After this journey, I feel that this guide can be quite helpful for many friends who are visiting Chengdu for the first time, so I've specially compiled it for everyone~ At the same time, it also serves as a perfect summary of my own trip to Chengdu~

One suggestion for everyone: because Chengdu is really huge, and there are so many places worth checking out, wanting to see all of Chengdu in one trip is simply wishful thinking, haha. So when choosing accommodation, pick a hotel with a great location and convenient transportation. So, let's start our four-day, three-night Chengdu journey now!
DAY 1: Daci Temple — A Pure Land in the Bustling City
Address: No. 21, Daci Temple Road, Jinjiang District, Chengdu
Transportation suggestion: Bus routes 4, 18, 28, 81, 301, etc. can all reach Daci Temple.
Nowadays, the hippest Taikoo Li commercial area in Chengdu is a must-visit spot for anyone going to Chengdu. And Daci Temple — an ancient temple with a history of over 1,600 years — is located just one wall away from Taikoo Li. Standing at the entrance of Daci Temple, it feels like standing at the intersection of history and reality. But strangely, it doesn't feel odd at all; the incense-filled Daci Temple and the fashionable modern Taikoo Li, peaceful tranquility and lively bustle, are separated by a wall yet wonderfully integrated.
Once you step inside Daci Temple, you can't help but be drawn by the peace and serenity within. It seems that every visitor in the temple unconsciously slows down their pace and lowers their voice, focusing their mind, either praying or observing, but never disturbing the temple's tranquility. Inside Daci Temple, there are also super cute anthropomorphic statues of the twelve zodiac animals, which inadvertently add a touch of playfulness and loveliness to the solemn temple.
