Three-Day Trip to Handan, Hebei During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival – Day 1: Handan Fantawild Dreamland
Right after the toll gate is Handan Fantawild. The parking lot is huge. Follow the crowd, scan health QR code, wear a mask, buy tickets at 280 yuan per person, and enter Fantawild one by one.
As soon as I entered, I saw a masked beauty pulling a blue rhinoceros, taking photos with visitors. Further in, there was bamboo pole dancing. Further in, there was dice throwing – I didn't expect to be so lucky; I won right away. But I still had some fruit wine.
Following the crowd, I walked all the way to the main gate, where there was a traditional costume performance. Then I officially entered Fantawild. Some people were queuing for face painting.
Following the majority, I arrived at Crazy Idioms. It was said to be pretty good there. Queued all the way in. The guide instructed us along the way, and finally, we got on the ride, screaming all the way as we experienced the craziness of idioms.
At Bear Valley Town, my sister and I hit the bull's-eye every time, scoring 5100 points, and even got a small gift. That was a pleasant surprise.
Briar and Bramble were on a parade, interacting with the kids.
Bubble machines kept producing colorful bubbles. Idiom Fairy Tales was more suitable for younger kids, exposing them to one idiom story after another.
Later, I went to Meng Jiangnu. It hadn't started yet, so we played in the sand pile for a while. At 2:30, we came back, and the Meng Jiangnu show began. I really liked this show. The guide said it won the "Most Mind-Blowing Award" in a competition in the United States. The stage transformed from the Great Wall to a sea of flowers, to the wedding room of Meng Jiangnu and Wan Xiliang. The lighting and stage design were truly stunning. When the Great Wall collapsed, brick after brick fell down, leaving people in awe.
Exiting Meng Jiangnu, we went to Ride the Wind and Waves, did it twice. The water was very cold, so I only did it once, but I bought rain boots for the kids, and they did it twice.
Then to Nüwa Mends the Sky. Another long queue. Finally, we got on the ride and soared through a 3D fantasy world.
Exiting that, it was A Golden Millet Dream. Perfect timing. The stage was also very beautiful.
Exiting that, it was Enduring Splendors. Another queue. The waiting room played a short animation for a few minutes, letting in a few people after each screening. It wasn't too boring. Once we got on, we followed little Brush Fairy on a tour of famous Chinese paintings. The most memorable was Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains – the ink wash landscapes unfolded layer by layer, as if we had entered the painting.
Exiting that, the kids wanted to go to The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl. This one is also at Jinan Fantawild, exactly the same. Another long queue. By the time we came out, it was 8 PM. Just then, a disco party started on Fantawild's square. We were shivering from the cold, but after jumping along with the rhythm for a while, we warmed up.
Left Fantawild at 9 PM. Drove back to Home Inn. So tired.
