Handan She County 129th Division Memorial Hall Red Memory Town: Inheriting Red Genes, Reviewing the Party's History
The 129th Division Memorial Hall is located in Chi'an Village, She County, at the eastern foothills of the Taihang Mountains, in southwestern Hebei Province, at the junction of Hebei, Shanxi, and Henan provinces. It consists of the former command site, General Ridge, the exhibition hall, Taihang Song Cultural Park, Red Memory Town, Victory Square, and other related red scenic spots and industrial parks. It is the only memorial hall in China that comprehensively and meticulously records the history of the Eighth Route Army's 129th Division and the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Border Region Government.
At the former command site of the 129th Division, children dressed in military uniforms are experiencing the arduous life of the Eighth Route Army, sitting in the former political department auditorium for a vivid Party lesson.
Experience the Red Theme, Relive the Wartime Years
Red Memory Town is located on the outer side of the industrial ring road of the 129th Division Memorial Hall. With the concept of 'restoring revolutionary cultural sites, highlighting red cultural themes, exploring the connotation of Anti-Japanese War culture, upgrading the level of industrial culture, and strengthening national defense cultural education,' it has become a true 'place of historical reenactment' and 'cradle of red culture.'
