Have you decided where to go for the National Day holiday? I've been hearing about a large idiom theme park in Hebei, so I went to check it out with a friend first, and I can make a detailed travel guide for those who want to go. We took a two-hour high-speed train from Beijing to the ancient city of Handan and visited the culturally rich Handan Fantawild Chinese Idiom Theme Park. Compared to those standardized foreign theme parks, each Fantawild park in China is unique, integrating local culture, and is full of character.

Handan is an ancient city with a long history. The design of Handan Fantawild incorporates the history and folk customs of the ancient city, presenting a magnificent and exquisite scene. The park is filled with rows of Chinese-style ancient buildings, and as you walk through, every step offers a new view, captivated by the red walls, black tiles, carved beams, and painted rafters. Many young ladies dressed in Hanfu linger here, and every snapshot is a beautiful photo.

Once inside, there are dozens of attractions to enjoy freely. There are thrilling and exciting rides, fun and educational children's activities, and even cultural leisure options for the elderly—truly something for all ages.

We hurried to try a few large outdoor rides first. They were so thrilling that the following ones are a must-try.

The large roller coaster is by no means inferior to those at popular theme parks. With rapid, continuous rolls and spins, and crazy high-speed drops, it's all about speed and passion. The ride ended with screams from this game for the brave, and I still felt my legs trembling when I got off.

Riding the pirate ship began an adventure over turbulent waves, sometimes surging to the crest, sometimes plunging into the trough, with screams accompanying the entire journey, like a Caribbean pirate adventure, pushing me to my limits. Extremely exciting.

Then there's the drop tower that I dare not ride. I saw people instantly launched over 40 meters into the air, going up and down in a so-called “enjoyment.” I was really glad to still be standing on the ground. But I heard the view from up there is pretty good.

Not all dozens of outdoor rides are intense. The carousel is the most romantic imagination for every girl. When you sit on the carousel, with the beautiful and light music playing, the magnificent horses jump and spin, making you feel like you're in a fairy-tale wonderland.

Recently, there has been a lot of rain in the north, but even if it rains, you can find plenty of fun indoor activities. The 4D experiences—such as Nüwa Mending the Sky, the magnificent Cowherd and Weaver Girl, and the ever-changing Crazy Idioms—use sound, light, electricity, and digital technology to vividly present Handan's unique idiom culture, historical culture, mythological culture, and traditional art culture. I absolutely love it.

Handan is the capital of idioms, and all the rides here are named with four-character idioms, full of Chinese cultural flavor. Scenes like “High Mountains and Flowing Water,” “Mountains of Knives and Seas of Fire,” and “Raging Waves” take you diving into cliffs one moment and soaring into the sky the next, as if you're on a roller coaster, making you feel fully immersed. The visuals are incredibly strong.

Riding the “Chuang Shi Shen Zhou” vehicle with Nüwa to face challenges, you experience the thrilling fight against monsters and the magnificent story of mending the sky with stones. This indoor track-based ride has a lot hidden inside, with a mix of virtual and real images that make it hard to tell what's real, bringing you right into the ancient mythical world.

The combination of live performances and augmented reality (AR) technology bridges the virtual and real worlds, letting you travel back to a mythical world a thousand years ago, entering a wondrous and ever-changing dream.

This super-large-screen 3D movie suitable for all ages plays high-definition images on a nearly thousand-square-meter screen, taking us into a historical scroll of five thousand years of changes, experiencing the magnificent Chinese civilization in an immersive and awe-inspiring way.

The park has complete supporting facilities. When you're tired, you can find a restaurant to rest and recharge. In the Folk Custom Town, you can taste Handan's local specialties at the Handan Culture-themed restaurant “Shi Quan Shi Mei,” such as Yongnian donkey meat, Daming shaomai, and San Xia Guo... Use your taste buds to experience this thousand-year-old city with a long history and splendid culture.

In the Boonie Bears Town, you can go to the Boonie Bears-themed restaurant “Bear Burger” to eat burgers, let your childlike heart fly, and watch Boonie Bears while eating.

“Vistors from All Directions” is the largest comprehensive Chinese restaurant in the park. Besides its antique interior and complete infrastructure, the dining environment is exceptionally elegant.

National Day is coming soon. You can come to Handan Fantawild Chinese Idiom Theme Park to enjoy not only joy and excitement but also experience the different culture and humanistic feelings of the ancient city of Handan.

Travel tips:

1. Download the “Fangte Travel” app in advance for online ticket booking, map checking, ride schedules, and queue times... very convenient.

2. During this special period, be sure to book tickets online in advance. Provide health code and travel code when entering the park, and wear a mask.

3. The sun is strong, so take sun protection measures. You can bring a light jacket, wear comfortable shoes, and bring an umbrella.

4. There are sightseeing cars, strollers, tandem bicycles, multi-person bicycles, and electric vehicles available for rent in the park, making it much easier.

For self-driving visitors, you can navigate to the expressway. When approaching Yecheng toll station on the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Expressway, turn left after exiting the toll station, and you'll arrive in 3 minutes.

If you take a high-speed train to Handan, you can take bus No. 4 or No. 8 to Handan Bus Terminal, then transfer to bus No. 803 to reach the park directly.
