Travel Notes from Dali, Yunnan | Jesus Light by Cangshan and Erhai: Dali's Clouds Are Love Letters to the Sky
The life I yearn for is half mountains, rivers, lakes, and seas.
Dali in Yunnan is one of the destinations my heart longs for, and it also marks my first proper trip this year. In my view, every journey is an opportunity for self-discovery. Previously, I tended to devote more time to my camera, but now I prefer to complete the 'essentials' and spend more time on the scenery before me and the people around me.
Everyone has a different definition of 'documenting life.' From a professional and interest perspective, compared to my past self, I now focus more on living life seriously.
Every sincere sharing is the essence of life, and this travel note is no exception.
I prepared a guide for Dali in advance: for example, local restaurants worth checking in, popular photo spots, renting a car for a lake tour... But once you arrive in Dali, you'll find that all of this is less important than finding a dream hotel, sitting facing Erhai with a cup of tea, and falling asleep to the sound of the waves.
The hotel offers a first-class view worth spending an entire day enjoying.
This hotel has only 12 rooms. The environment is quiet and comfortable. In the afternoon, listening to the wind and birds, I happened upon the Jesus light. The scenery before me felt like a fairyland—even time seemed to slow down!

Also a popular online hotel under the Liuyue brand, at first glance I was amazed that the actual view was even more beautiful than the photos.
Yunnan is a livable city with a very slow pace. It's not suitable for rushing through sightseeing. If your holiday is limited, you can simply spend your time in Dali relaxing and daydreaming. As for Lijiang and Shangri-La, we'll save them for next time!
