Hi everyone! Yesterday we introduced Harbin's classic delicacies and previewed that today we would continue sharing Harbin's Russian-style Western food, haha! Here I am! Western food is common across China, but today let's talk about Harbin's unique Russian-style Western food. It's very easy to find authentic Russian-style Western food here. For example, the Modern Hotel Restaurant, Huamei Western Restaurant, and Lucia Western Restaurant on Central Street—I have visited all three, each has its own merits and is worth recommending.

Harbin Huamei Western Restaurant is among the top ten Russian-style Western restaurants in China! Signature dishes include borscht, beef stew in a pot, lamb stew in a pot, shrimp stew in a pot, steak, pan-fried salmon, Russian sausage, pickled cucumbers, fried meatballs, Moscow salad, and large rye bread.

Among these three, Modern Hotel's dishes are tastier, Huamei Western Restaurant is more affordable, and Lucia Western Restaurant is the smallest of the three, with a charming atmosphere and very good food!

Comparing these restaurants, I prefer Lucia Western Restaurant. Perhaps because Huamei and Modern Hotel are so famous and receive too many tourists, they lose some ambiance, and their dishes are not as refined. Lucia's dishes don't feel like they come off an assembly line. Their Moscow salad features red sausage, giving it a unique flavor. You can also order a pot of Roselle tea to savor slowly, and admire the small decorations in the restaurant. The owner is a writer, and the atmosphere is very artistic!

According to the owner, Lucia Western Restaurant often hosts gatherings and proposals! The environment is indeed very suitable—warm and splendid, with every detail showing the owner's care and years of operation. If you're worried about the crowds during meal times on Central Street, I recommend going early or in the afternoon. A quieter environment is better for enjoying Western food.

You can choose dishes according to your preference from the ones I mentioned. I especially want to mention the large rye bread and sausage. The large rye bread is quite hard, with a sour taste on its own—nothing amazing. But try pairing the bread with Russian sausage, especially biting directly into the unsliced sausage! The combination is simply delicious. The bread no longer tastes sour, and the sausage's fragrance is fully brought out. The more you eat, the more addictive it becomes! You can also buy a bottle of Kvass beverage. It's a traditional pairing, as Kvass is fermented from bread ingredients, aiding digestion!

Since you're on Central Street, you must try a Modern Hotel ice cream bar. There are also some delicacies you can bring home: Qiulin Lyudovskiy red sausage, wine-filled candies, and large rye bread. These can be purchased at specialty stores, which also offer delivery services.

Alright, do you like today's sharing? Feel free to leave me any questions! Remember to follow me! See you next time!
