One One's Unexpected: Harbin Kid-Friendly Travel Map
Hello everyone! This is the second edition of my kid-friendly travel map. Everyone really liked the first edition, and such recommendations are very useful. So here comes the second edition! Spring is just around the corner, with warm weather and blooming flowers—perfect for outings and flower viewing! There's a great choice: Mao'er Mountain, very close to Harbin.
Mao'er Mountain is not very tall, and thanks to the scenic area's planning and construction, hiking is quite easy. Along the way, there are pavilions for resting. When we went, there was a vendor selling sweet sorghum cane at the pavilion. Have you ever tried it? It tastes like childhood—because sweet sorghum cane is not as watery as sugarcane, it's rarely seen in markets. Sweet sorghum cane is a sweet memory for all northeastern kids!
Hiking Mao'er Mountain isn't tiring. The facilities are well-developed, making it very suitable for families with kids, and parents won't feel too burdened! At the foot of the mountain, there are activities like go-karts and a grass-sliding slope. The grass-sliding slope is about 200 meters of gentle incline. You can rent mini sleds from vendors and slide down with your child. The fresh air and the joy of acceleration! Doing it a few times really lifts your spirits and doubles the fun!
Pingshan Deer Farm: Pingshan Deer Farm is best visited during off-peak times. I was inspired to go by photos on my social feed—let me show you.
These photos were so beautiful! Then it happened to be the National Day holiday. I thought I must go! But when I went, there were too many people, and the deer got scared and ran away! All we saw were the beautiful grassland and blue sky. Plus, we suffered from one hour of parking and one hour of exiting (╯﹏╰)!
Pingshan Deer Farm is huge; you can take a sightseeing car to explore. Of course, it would be perfect if they had helicopters like the Snowman Pier—just imagine! I wonder when all our attractions will have helicopter low-altitude tours—that would be even better!
I've been to Maple Town Hot Spring Resort twice! It's a paradise for kids! But be sure to pay attention to safety—bring a swim ring for your child, and adults must stay with them at all times! Also, plan a full day for this visit! Go in the morning for hot springs, swimming, and water fun. Have lunch at the town—the food is pretty good! Beef noodle soup, beef rice bowl, hotpot—they have all that. In the afternoon, kids can play in the indoor playground, while adults rest in the lounge area, sipping tea and relaxing! A few friends sitting together, drinking tea, eating fruit, and chatting—how delightful! The kids play in the play area, and every now and then, one adult takes a turn to check on them. This kind of parent-friendly spot is a must-visit!
That's all for today's sharing! Which Harbin attractions would you like to know about? Leave a comment below! See you next time!
