A Day Trip to a Farmhouse in Shenzhen for Outdoor Picnics and Weekend Fun

On a weekend in May, we gathered at Tianzhongyuan Eco-Park at Phoenix Mountain in Shenzhen.

In early summer, the sky was a deep azure without a single cloud, and the scorching sun baked the earth. The river water was scalding hot, and steam rose from the soil. Under the blazing sun, the unripe crops along the roadside bent low, their heads drooping. Grasshoppers were as plentiful as leaves, chirping faintly and noisily in the wheat and rye fields, and among the reeds along the banks. The sun was like a huge fireball, its rays burning, and the asphalt road was so hot that every step raised a puff of white smoke. The sun seemed to run wild every day, brandishing its copper shield amid the yellow haze in the sky.

Where can we have a picnic around Shenzhen?

Every weekend is a test for Tianzhongyuan Eco-Park in Shenzhen. The park is packed with bustling crowds—corporate teams from Dongguan, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou gather here for farmhouse outdoor activities, barbecues, and picnics.

With so many people, no need to worry—we have designated areas and dedicated trainers to provide one-on-one service. Each team has its own coach leading fun team activities at different spots. While I was wandering around taking photos, I was drawn by a team quietly competing in the distance and hurried over to record it. It turned out a group of friends were doing a team challenge called "Cup of Love." They stared at each other with hilarious poses, holding cups in their mouths, struggling not to laugh, their faces flushed red. This was the moment when they raced against each other, vying for speed. During breaks, every team member cheered for their own team with all their might, showing a strong sense of competition. After an intense showdown, a winner emerged—Team 2 was the first to fill their container. Regardless of victory or defeat, every team wore genuine smiles. That's the charm of the fun team activities at Tianzhongyuan Eco-Park.

All across Tianzhongyuan Eco-Park in Shenzhen, you can see joyful and relaxed figures everywhere—fun and happy team games, serious yet lively team-building activities, and numerous recreational facilities, attracting wave after wave of visitors to spend their weekends here! It seems the worries of daily work flow away with the sweat brought by the scorching heat.
