Magnificent Guangxi Heads to the Northern Ice City, Inviting Visitors for a Winter Tour of Guangxi's Landscapes
On November 3, the 2023 "Winter Tour Guangxi" Golden Season Promotion and "Charming Chongzuo" Cultural Tourism Conference was held in Harbin. It was hosted by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the People's Government of Chongzuo City. Over 300 people attended, including officials from the cultural and tourism administrative departments of Guangxi and Heilongjiang, representatives from the cultural and tourism industries, news media, and local residents and tourists.

In winter, Guangxi's "grass withers not in winter, and flowers bloom even without spring." At the event, through various forms such as the release of a winter cultural tourism promotional video, themed tour route introductions, cultural tourism performances, and intangible cultural heritage displays, Guangxi's unique cultural tourism resources including mountain and water scenery, historical charm, folk customs, and delicious cuisine were showcased.
The promotional activities were splendid and varied.
At the conference, with the theme "Autumn and Winter Tour Guangxi: Warm Mountains and Waters Warm Gui Guests," a promotional video for "Winter Tour Guangxi" was played to cater to different tourists' needs. Eight premium winter tour routes were introduced: "Landscape Scenic Tour," "Coastal Slow Tour," "Spring Festival Folk Custom Tour," "Longevity and Wellness Tour," "Eight Gui Cuisine Tour," "Green City Sports Tour," "Border Pass RV Tour," and "Lingnan Study Tour," offering new ways to explore Guangxi in winter.

The conference also featured exhibition areas for exquisite intangible cultural heritage products, creative cultural items, and local specialties, allowing attendees to get a close look at the beautiful scenery, customs, flavors, and goods of the Zhuang region. The Guangxi Department of Culture and Tourism also organized performers to stage a "flash mob" of Zhuang ethnic customs at landmark buildings in Harbin. Enthusiastic Zhuang men and women, dressed in colorful ethnic costumes, played tianqin (a string instrument), shook bells, and sang while playing, attracting a large crowd to watch.

Chongzuo, as the featured city of the conference, not only introduced its rich tourism resources to the guests but also presented five premium tour routes: "Gourmet and Fine Accommodation Tour," "Red Scenery and Green Water Culture Tour," "Chongzuo-Vietnam Red Cross-Border Tour," "Chongzuo Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance Tour," and "Chongzuo National Border Sea Scenic Corridor Exploration Tour," inviting visitors to explore the magnificent border area and enjoy charming Chongzuo. The event also featured stunning ethnic audiovisual feasts and interactive experiences, with performances like "Bei Nong Deep Love," "Embroidery Ball Romance," "Carrying the Bride," and "Tianqin Singing Place," showcasing the unity, progress, beauty, and harmony of the Zhuang people's happy life, allowing the audience to fully appreciate Chongzuo's landscapes, folk customs, history, and culture.

"Four Great Offers" for Touring Guangxi
The conference continued to roll out preferential policies for the "Autumn and Winter Tour Guangxi" Golden Season activities. From October 7 to December 31, 2023, four types of discounts are available: first, discounts on first-ticket admission to scenic spots; second, accommodation discounts; third, cultural and entertainment consumption discounts; and fourth, toll discounts for self-driving cars. Additionally, subsidies are provided for travel agencies within the region that bring tourists to Guangxi, and for theaters and performance agencies that introduce theater-type or music festival (concert) performances.

It is worth mentioning that in the near future, Guangxi will join forces with cultural and tourism administrative departments and enterprises from 14 cities and prefectures within the region to go to 18 key cities including Changchun, Taiyuan, Shijiazhuang, and Beijing to hold "Winter Tour Guangxi" Golden Season promotional activities. These will target major source cities in South China, North China, Northeast, East China, and Southwest regions, deepening inter-provincial cultural tourism cooperation. Through high-frequency offline promotional events and an online multi-media live-streaming matrix, the impact of the activities will be greatly expanded, multi-dimensionally promoting the attraction of tourists to Guangxi, boosting cultural tourism consumption, and continuously polishing the cultural tourism IP of "Unmatched Scenery, Magnificent Guangxi."
