The animals on display at Kunming Huadu Ocean World include land animals, marine animals, and various birds. In a nutshell: 'Things that fly in the sky, swim in the water, and crawl on land – all are here, hundreds of species, truly eye-opening.'
In addition, with various leisure and entertainment facilities such as an indoor ice and snow park, a magical light forest, and the Star Sea Science Park, this place is simply a paradise for fun.
Among them, the most distinctive, unique, and irreplaceable are Kunming Huadu Ocean World's three signature performances: the Beautiful Mermaid Show, the Sea Lion Talent Show, and the Whale-Dolphin Alliance Show. Kunming Huadu Ocean World is full of creativity in both performances and design, very eye-catching. The outdoor square of Kunming Huadu Ocean World is spacious and lively. Usually, the African wild acrobatics performance takes place on the outdoor square.
Each performance attracts many spectators to watch and interact. The dynamic music and exquisite dance skills create an extremely joyful atmosphere. After the performance, the crowd flows indoors to start the sightseeing journey.
Entering Kunming Huadu Ocean World, you pass through a long dreamy flower corridor, see scattered fish of various kinds welcoming you along the way, and after a few twists and turns, you arrive at the blue underwater tunnel.

The underwater tunnel is a gathering place for fish, where all kinds of tropical fish and creatures converge, with brilliant colors, diverse shapes, and various sizes. Most of the fish prototypes that appear in cartoons can be found here.
In addition, crustaceans such as starfish and horseshoe crabs can also be seen. Polar animals like Arctic wolves and Arctic foxes are also in this exhibition area.
This is not only an observation corridor but also a marine biology science education hall. This science corridor runs through basement 1 and the 1st floor of Huadu Ocean World, extending to the entrance of the Whale-Dolphin Alliance Show.
Two of Kunming Huadu Ocean World's three major performances, the Beautiful Mermaid Show and the Sea Lion Talent Show, take place in the underwater corridor. The performance times for each show throughout the day are marked at the corresponding performance venues. Just watch according to the schedule.
Based on past experience, as long as you don't miss the first performance – the Beautiful Mermaid Show – you won't miss the subsequent Sea Lion Talent Show and Whale-Dolphin Alliance Show. If you do miss one, don't worry; you can come back for the next show. The entire venue is connected, so you can freely explore without time restrictions.
The Beautiful Mermaid Show is the most romantic of the three performances. With soothing music and the host's voice, a mermaid appears in the calm performance tank, instantly livening up the previously quiet environment.
The host paints a fairy-tale mermaid home with words, and these mermaids come as if singing, seemingly slowly emerging from the deep sea before our eyes. They present a visual feast and then return to the deep sea, waiting for the next reunion...
After the Beautiful Mermaid Show, continue forward along the underwater tunnel, and soon the Sea Lion Talent Show is about to begin.
The Sea Lion Talent Show tests the tacit understanding between humans and sea lions, and the audience's interaction with the sea lions is also the most among the three performances.
Each performance selects lucky audience members on site to complete the 'ring toss performance' together with the sea lion. If the performance is successful, the lucky audience member can go on stage for a close encounter within 10 cm of the sea lion. Among hundreds of spectators, only one lucky audience member might be chosen, so the opportunity is very rare.
Although the sea lion is an animal, it gives the impression of very high intelligence. It can imitate human actions, perform various difficult acrobatic moves, and even understand the cheers and applause of the audience and respond to them, making everyone laugh.
After the Sea Lion Talent Show, freely wander through the underwater world, carefully observe all kinds of uncommon marine animals, and wait for the largest and most lively Whale-Dolphin Alliance Show at Kunming Huadu Ocean World.
The Whale-Dolphin Alliance Show is divided into four segments: Dolphin Show, Beluga Show, Clown Comedy Diving Show, and Professional Fancy Diving Show – all well worth watching.
The four segments are all very polished. The Dolphin Show showcases the dolphins' agility, eagerness to learn, and speed, with over a dozen skills including dolphin flips, jumps, wave riding, singing, and dancing.
The biggest highlight of the Beluga Show is the beluga spouting water and the underwater waltz. These two performances demonstrate the beauty of strength and softness, absolutely not to be missed.
If the Dolphin and Beluga shows are a combination of shock and beauty, then the final Clown Comedy Diving Show is a gathering of laughs. The clown in extremely bright-colored clothes catches the eye with every move, keeping the audience focused on his performance.
Finally, the Professional Diving Show displays superb diving skills. Professional divers from Russia jump from platforms of different heights, performing various professional diving moves in the air. Just a few minutes of performance keep your emotions on a roller coaster.
