I hope friends who have been there can share details on attractions, costs, routes, tips, accommodation, and food. The more detailed, the better.

At the end of last month, I just went to Yunnan with friends for a six-day trip. We visited Dali, Lijiang, Erhai Lake, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Blue Moon Valley, etc. While searching for travel tips online, I saw many netizens recommending a local Kunming guide named Aping, saying he is very good. So I booked the itinerary with Guide Aping.

He planned a six-day itinerary based on the attractions we wanted to visit. Before we arrived in Yunnan, he arranged accommodation, tickets, transportation, etc., and even arranged a car to pick us up at the airport, saving us the time of queuing for tickets. Once in Yunnan, we just enjoyed the sights. It was really great. We had a wonderful 6 days. Many thanks to Guide Aping. I will look for him next time. Our travel route in Yunnan: Kunming Dali Lijiang 6-day 5-night premium tour.

Day 1: Arrive in Kunming โ€“ Airport or station pick-up โ€“ Check in hotel โ€“ Free time.

Kunming airport pick-up, check in hotel. If time permits, it is recommended to visit the 'Xiangyun' Food City in downtown Kunming to taste Yunnan specialty snacks: try the inexpensive stinky tofu for a few jiao, the fragrant small-pot rice noodles for a few yuan, and the freshest fruit juices. Hundreds of Yunnan snacks to choose from, feel the 'Spring City' vibe!

Day 2: Kunming โ€“ Stone Forest โ€“ Head to Chuxiong โ€“ Check in hotel.

After breakfast, depart from the hotel at around 7:30am by bus to the Stone Forest. Speaking of the Stone Forest, it reminds us of Guo Moruo's doggerel: 'From afar the stones are big, up close they are big stones. Indeed the stones are big, the stones are indeed big.' Reciting this poem makes people think of the Stone Forest. Explore the karst wonder โ€” [Stone Forest], listen to the stories each stone tells, visit the Ashima petrified stone, Sword Peak Pond, Wangfeng Pavilion, Two Birds Feeding, Stone Forest Lake, and other spots. After lunch, take the bus back to Kunming. Each honored guest is offered VIP tea break with a cup of hot authentic Pu'er tea, experiencing Yunnan's thousand-year tea culture. Then head to Chuxiong. Upon arrival, enjoy representative Chuxiong cuisine. Check in hotel around 8pm.

Day 3: Dali โ€“ Erhai Lake Special Tour Boat โ€“ Internet-famous Glass Ball โ€“ Jeep โ€“ Dali Ancient City โ€“ Check in hotel.

After breakfast, take a bus to Dali (about 2.5 hours). Hotel breakfast, then bus to Dali. Visit the renowned cultural city โ€” [Dali Ancient City], also known as Yeyu City, Forbidden City, Zhonghe Town. The characters 'Dali' on the gate are collected from Guo Moruo's calligraphy. The streets inside are in a typical chessboard layout. The scene of 'three houses with one well, one household with several pots of flowers' still exists.

Then take a [Erhai Lake Special Tour Boat] to enjoy the scenery of Erhai Lake. After lunch, take a [Jeep] to [TikTok internet-famous check-in spot] for free time. The sea view, internet-famous props [internet-famous glass ball, white tables and chairs] are specially made for your custom Erhai dream! Release your youth in the open-top jeep, take photos of your unique self! Capture your most unforgettable moment! Make the young trip a memory for life.

Then visit 'the renowned cultural city' โ€” [Dali Ancient City]. Dali Ancient City faces the vast Erhai Lake to the east and leans against the evergreen Cangshan Mountain to the west, forming a pattern of 'water around Cangshan, Cangshan embracing the ancient city'. The east-west Huguo Road in the ancient city is called 'Foreigner Street'. Dinner features local snacks, then check in hotel.

Day 4: Lijiang โ€“ Folk Culture Experience Area โ€“ Lashi Lake or Dongba Valley โ€“ Song and Dance Performance โ€“ Check in hotel.

After breakfast, visit [Folk Culture Experience Area]. Then take a bus to Lijiang to visit the AAAA-level scenic spot [Lashi Lake Scenic Area] or [Dongba Valley], experiencing the ancient Tea Horse Road; reach the source of Lashi Lake. This is a migratory bird base, the origin of Lijiang culture, and an important town on the ancient Tea Horse Road. The people living here are the simple Naxi ethnic group. You can experience the most authentic Naxi culture, learn the history of the horse caravan, seek spiritual shock, and feel the cultural imagery of 'boats on water, people on boats, people's songs,' comprehensively displaying Lijiang's unique and extensive ethnic culture.

Then stroll around the world cultural heritage city Lijiang, visit [Lijiang Ancient City, Sifang Street] surrounded by three rivers, shaped like a 'government seal, authority over four directions' (guests roam freely, can sample Lijiang specialty snacks at own expense). You will experience the unique ancient city scenery of 'every home has water flowing around, every household has weeping willows better than Jiangnan.' In the evening, enjoy a complimentary large-scale song and dance performance worth 280 yuan: [Lishui Jinsha] or [Impression Lijiang]. Here you can see the world's only existing pictographic script -- Dongba script; and watch the Dongba priest tell history in his unique way. Then check in hotel.

Day 5: Lijiang โ€“ Shuhe Ancient Town โ€“ Jade Dragon Snow Mountain โ€“ Kunming.

After breakfast, visit [Shuhe Ancient Town or Baisha Ancient Town]. Shuhe Ancient Town, called 'Shaowu' in Naxi language, is named after the mountain behind it shaped like a piled peak. The village's name evolved to mean 'village below the peak,' one of the earliest Naxi settlements in the Lijiang basin, and a well-preserved important town on the Tea Horse Road. After lunch, take a bus to Lijiang to visit [Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Scenic Area], known as the 'Switzerland of the East.' Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is the closest snow mountain group to the equator, the incarnation of the Third God. Take the [Glacier Cableway] to visit Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The cableway is 2,914 meters long with a vertical drop of 1,150 meters, one of the highest tourist cableways in China.

Departing from the meadow at 3,000 meters altitude, passing through tall pine and fir forests, overlooking the Naxi holy mountain, appreciating the majestic and spectacular Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Its main peak, Fanzi Peak, is the sacred mountain in the hearts of the Naxi and all ethnic groups in Lijiang, with an altitude of 4,506 meters. Visit [Blue Moon Valley]. Blue Moon Valley is like a serene woman, silent, with beauty in unknown light and shadow. The water from Jade Dragon Snow Mountain flows here, transforming into enchanting colors due to surface minerals. After dinner, take a sleeper train or bus back to Kunming.

Day 6: Kunming โ€“ Transfer to airport based on flight time โ€“ Return to warm home.

Wake up naturally, then transfer to airport according to schedule. Guests can end the pleasant Yunnan trip and return to their warm home at Kunming airport or train station.
