Every city has a distinct label, such as Furnace City—Turpan, Mountain City—Chongqing, Spring City—Kunming. These are the broad labels of a city. But behind a city's broad label, there are many small labels. These small labels ultimately fill out a city; small labels converge to form the big label. Today, let's take a look at the labels of Kunming. Kunming is not only the Spring City but also a nationally renowned tourist city. Since it's a tourist city, it is inevitably inseparable from its tourist attractions. Today, let's take stock of the in-depth labels of the scenic spots under this tourist city of Kunming.

Dianchi Lake Label: Scenic Beauty of Mountains and Waters

"Five hundred li of Dianchi Lake rush into view; with hat and headscarf adjusted, I delight in the vast, boundless expanse!" This is the opening line of an ancient literary work describing the breadth and majesty of Dianchi Lake. Dianchi Lake—a pearl on the plateau—is also the mother lake of Kunming. Its misty, shimmering surface is vast, ethereal, and magnificent, giving one a sense of a thousand years at a glance. Standing on a height and gazing into the distance, the lake is embraced by mountains on all sides, with mountains, water, and the city merging into one. The sky, clouds, and mountain ridges are linked; the water surface is calm, like a giant jade plate fallen into the mortal world, resembling an unadorned natural painting, perfectly interpreting the label of "scenic beauty of mountains and waters."

Kunming Xiyou Cave Label: Trendy and Avant-garde

Kunming Xiyou Cave was originally a scenic area born out of the "Journey to the West culture." But after years of development and accumulation, on the basis of the Journey to the West culture, it has spawned many popular, unique, and hot internet-famous trendy projects. Relying on these trendy projects, Kunming Xiyou Cave turned around people's previous stereotypical impressions of it, rapidly exploding in popularity among young people. Therefore, I'm not surprised at all that Kunming Xiyou Cave's label is "trendy and avant-garde." Let's then look at the major projects that helped it become "trendy and avant-garde."

The first project is the 5D Glass Bridge. It can be said that Kunming Xiyou Cave's transformation began with the 5D Glass Bridge. At the time, the 5D Glass Bridge was all the rage on the internet, with various GIFs and short videos going viral. Kunming Xiyou Cave followed the trend and built the first high-altitude suspended 5D Glass Bridge in Kunming. The glass bridge is over 200 meters long, more than 100 meters above the ground, connecting two high mountains. This glass bridge was a truly stunning presence at the time, attracting a large number of tourists who flocked to visit. From then on, Kunming Xiyou Cave began to make a name for itself in the trendy project paradise. Having used the 5D Glass Bridge to knock on the door of "trendy projects," Xiyou Cave immediately started preparing the second project: the Glass Forest Drift. The glass forest drift course is 1,500 meters long with a height drop of 250 meters. The entire water slide winds around the mountainside of Xiyou Cave, surrounded by lush trees. Drifting on the slide feels like drifting through a forest. The glass forest drift perfectly combines glass and water, creating a great summer getaway for young people. Kunming Xiyou Cave then innovated in the "high-altitude" category, creating the third project: the Cliff Swing and Buddha Hand Observation Deck. The appearance of these two projects doubled the trendy feel of Kunming Xiyou Cave. Next, it upgraded the dry slide into the fourth project: the Glass Forest Traversal. Unlike the glass drift, this is a slide that requires no tools to glide on smooth glass. Through this glass slide, Kunming Xiyou Cave had completed a major transformation. After that, it continuously enriched its projects: mountain off-road vehicles, macaque garden, aerial zip line, shouting fountain, and other small projects were constantly optimized or introduced. The trendy project section of Kunming Xiyou Cave is now relatively complete. Starting from the 5D Glass Bridge, through continuous development, it has become what it is today.

Yuantong Mountain Label: Blossoming Flowers Like Brocade

Yuantong Mountain is a mountain range in Kunming as famous as Xishan and Changchongshan. It is close to Cuihu Lake, with the Yuantong Temple and Yuantong Mountain Zoo on the mountain. Yuantong Mountain has also become a landmark of Kunming. In the eyes of both old and new Kunming locals, the never-fading flowers throughout the four seasons are a characteristic of this city. The blue jacaranda on Jiaochang Road and the cherry blossoms on Yuantong Mountain are the most profound impressions of flowers for people in Kunming. Therefore, the scene of cherry blossoms in full bloom, like brocade, becomes the most direct label for defining Yuantong Mountain.

Colorful Yunnan Joy World: Adventure Paradise

Colorful Yunnan Joy World can be said to be Yunnan's "Disneyland" so far. It has an extremely vast park area, housing dozens of large-scale characteristic rides and hundreds of small-scale attractions. These rides cover two major aspects: experience and sightseeing. Most of the characteristic and large-scale rides are high-altitude projects, and the main visitor demographic is young people. This series of reasons has earned it the label of "Adventure Paradise."
