About 80 km from Kunming city center and about 55 km from Qujing city center,

I discovered a pleasant, fairy-tale-like tourist resort: Fenglongwan World Fairy Tale Town in Xundian.

There’s so much fun here! These spots earned unanimous praise from my friends and me—don’t miss them!

Romantic Train—Perfect for snapping photos along the way.

When I arrived, the first thing that caught my eye was the vintage green train.

Its retro, romantic charm offers a peaceful beauty absent in the noisy city.

The 8 km (already built) route is filled with beauty and surprises.

It passes through six differently themed tunnels, with mountains, lakes, fields, flower seas, rivers, and waterfalls.

Sitting on this leisurely train,

for the first time, I had time to ponder the meaning of life.

Waterfall Restaurant—One of the must-visit网红 restaurants.

Tired of the usual city feast? Come to this trendy waterfall restaurant.

It’s located under the Central Garden Plaza.

The food here comes from nearby farms and pastures.

The natural ingredients have a unique flavor.

You can also enjoy the waterfall and terraced fields while dining, feeling relaxed and carefree.

Lake Cruise—For a short rest or sightseeing.

I have an inexplicable longing and love for water—its clarity, inclusiveness, and generosity.

The lake cruise was one of the most anticipated attractions.

We spent about forty minutes on the 16 km long lake area.

The scenery was gorgeous: mountains and birds, clear blue waves—too many adjectives can’t describe it.

The sunlight was just right that day. I enjoyed the pleasant breeze and listened to the waves.

The sofa-style seats were soft, so I took a short nap.

Remember to protect yourself from the sun and keep warm—the wind along the way is strong!

Lakeside Forest Boardwalk—The perfect spot to watch the sunset.

After a day of fun, I walked on the forest boardwalk, breathing in fresh oxygen.

The boardwalk winds its way toward the lake.

On one side, solitary clouds and the vast lake; on the other, mountain forests and cottages.

A casual photo with the sunset instantly brightens your social media feed.

We took photos for nearly an hour and covered half the boardwalk.

Oh, and there’s a big strawberry base in Dabalzhe and Xiaobalzhe villages.

Each of us picked a large basket—every strawberry was big and sweet.

Also, Guaiwu Village Commercial Street has many interesting cultural and creative shops.

I’ll come again next weekend—the beautiful scenery deserves a slower, more appreciative view.
