Every time I come to Lijiang, I must visit the Old Town. In the afternoon and evening, the streets are packed with people! Yet every time I am captivated by the charm of this ancient town. The quaint streets, with occasional drumbeats and folk songs drifting into the ears, enhance the town's appeal.

In those years, we made secret wishes under the wishing tree, hung our blessings, and let them drift in the wind amidst the clashing and whispering sounds. In Lijiang, don’t mistakenly think that all the delicious food is in Lijiang Old Town (Dayan Old Town). In fact, the food in Shuhe Ancient Town is the king of Lijiang. The restaurants in Shuhe not only have a nice environment but also a higher level of taste compared to those in Dayan Old Town. Lijiang Old Town can be called a food stall area, while Shuhe Ancient Town is truly a restaurant area with good dining environment, excellent service, and much more affordable prices than Dayan.
