"Qinghai-Tibet Premium Products" Builds a Bridge of Cooperation Between Wenzhou and Golmud
"The goji berries are all sold out, we need to send another 1,000 jin." A few days ago, at the "Qinghai-Tibet Premium Products" specialty shop located on Fudong Road in Wenzhou City, store manager Ju Xiaozhong was simultaneously placing orders through a digital platform and video-calling to check the goods at the Qinghai Golmud Cloud Goji Berry Company, thousands of miles away. Recently, benefiting from the launch of the digital e-commerce platform "Qinghai-Tibet Premium Products," specialty agricultural products from counterpart support regions have become quite popular in Wenzhou.
The key to counterpart support lies in "counterpart." "We need to combine Qinghai's high-quality products with Zhejiang's large market, using digital means to build a bridge connecting the two places," said Yang Maofu, member of the Standing Committee of the Golmud Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Mayor, also head of the Zhejiang Aid-Qinghai Golmud (Wenzhou) Working Group. To broaden product export channels, in July last year, the Zhejiang Aid-Qinghai Golmud (Wenzhou) Working Group commissioned a technology company to develop an online sales platform "Qinghai-Tibet Premium Products" primarily selling Golmud specialty products, and launched channels such as WeChat mini-programs, Douyin live streaming, and mobile apps. "Relying on Zhejiang's advantages in digital technology, we arranged for technical personnel to guide the various platforms in solving technical difficulties encountered during development, ensuring the entire project was completed on schedule," Yang Maofu stated.
To increase the platform's market awareness, the aid-Qinghai cadres also promoted Golmud's specialty agricultural and livestock products offline, opening 13 stores in Wenzhou and listing these products on several platforms, including Wenzhou Baixiao Community Partners. To encourage more farmers to participate, Golmud City in Qinghai Province formulated and issued detailed rules for the cultivation of specialty agriculture and animal husbandry and subsidies for agricultural product promotion, providing financial subsidies to the "Qinghai-Tibet Premium Products" sales platform and other agricultural and livestock industry upgrading and transformation projects, promoting the development of specialty planting (breeding), specialty ecological industries, and cultural industries in the Haixi region, and establishing a win-win cooperation mechanism of "resource sharing, product co-building, and market co-promotion."
Through the joint efforts of technical personnel, local farmers, and aid-Qinghai cadres, the platform's operations have achieved the connection of small products with large markets. As of now, the platform has listed 12 specialty brand agricultural and livestock enterprises, offering 85 specialty agricultural and livestock products including goji berries, quinoa, and lamb. In Zhejiang, especially in the Wenzhou area, it has cultivated and developed over 1,500 online distributors, opened 13 offline physical demonstration stores, and achieved offline and online sales of over 50 million yuan since the trial operation. In the next step, the platform will expand its "online + offline" sales channels across Zhejiang.
According to reports, the digital concepts brought by Wenzhou's aid-Qinghai cadres are not only used for agricultural product sales but also support the development of local healthcare and tourism. For example, the Golmud health informatization project enables local hospitals to share Wenzhou's high-quality medical resources and establish a remote consultation platform with Wenzhou People's Hospital, greatly facilitating local residents' access to medical care.
