A Thousand-Year-Old Tree Hidden at Xizhu Mountain Residence in Moon Bay on the Southern Anhui Sichuan-Tibet Line, Its Fruit Can Be Used to Make Tofu!
I had long heard of a mountain road in the mountainous region of southern Anhui known as the 'Anhui Sichuan-Tibet Line' and had wanted to explore it. Some time ago, taking advantage of free time, I finally turned this journey into reality.
This mountain road is located in the beautiful small city of Jing County in southern Anhui. The starting point of the Southern Anhui Sichuan-Tibet Line is at Moon Bay Scenic Area in Caicun Town, about 20 kilometers east of the county seat. I think the reason this road is called the 'Anhui Sichuan-Tibet Line' is because the mountain roads are rugged and the scenery is unique. Although it does not have the altitude of the Sichuan-Tibet route, it quite has its charm, as if one is in the Land of Abundance. Well! At least I felt like I was 'ascending to the blue sky'!
In the hot early summer, the mountains were a deep green, with peaks upon peaks; a clear stream gurgled eastward, crystal clear to the bottom. Sunlight, high mountains, and clear springs were all in view; the sound of wind, trees, and water filled my ears. I was completely immersed in nature, relaxed and happy, unable to extricate myself from the intoxication!
After entering the mountainous area, the surroundings immediately cooled down. If you go early enough, you can still see crystal clear dew, with a noticeable difference in temperature from the city. Here, I especially recommend the Xizhu Mountain Residence, located in the center of Moon Bay Scenic Area in Caicun Town, Jing County. The buildings all use eco-friendly rural design and incorporate local cultural resources. There is an internal garden with a pavilion, flowers bloom all year round, and it is surrounded by bamboo forests and streams where you can play in the water and go rafting.
Outside the door, there are hillsides covered with azaleas and rhododendrons, distant bird calls, moonlight hanging on the branches by the window, the gurgling stream behind the house, and twinkling stars across the sky. At a certain moment, it allows us to experience the leisure and tranquility of the southern Anhui countryside.
Outside the door, there is also a thousand-year-old Zhu tree. Its fruit can be used to make tofu, and the tofu made from it has a fresh, smooth taste and is green and healthy. Tofu made from the fruit of the Zhu tree can be eaten in any way: it can be made into soup, served cold, or cooked with meat.
