The Meiganling Terraced Fields in Jiapeng are famous for rape flowers and are known as a 'hidden sea of flower terraces'. Few people knew about them in early years. Later, the Rape Flower Cultural Tourism Festival was held, which enhanced the visibility and influence of Jixi Jiapeng. In recent years, Meiganling Terraced Fields have been awarded titles such as 'China's Most Beautiful Countryside', 'China Photographers' Creation Base', and 'Anhui Photographers Association Creation Base'. Every year at this time, the golden rape flowers complement the Hui-style ancient villages and folk houses, forming a beautiful landscape surrounded by peaks and a mix of yellow and green colors. Photography enthusiasts from all over the country, carrying their cameras and telephoto lenses, roam the mountains and waters of Jixi, capturing the most beautiful spring in southern Anhui.

This is a slope surrounded by mountains, with layers of terraced fields arranged spectacularly along the hillside. To enjoy rape flowers in Jiapeng, Jixi, Meiganling is a must-visit. Located amidst high mountains, standing on Meiganling offers a panoramic view of the Jiapeng countryside, giving a sense of sudden openness.

The terraced fields are a mix of yellow and green, with beautiful layers and patterns. The distant mountains of Jiapeng are hazy and mysterious, making it a great place for photography.

Below the viewing platform at Meiganling, at the end of the path, is Xingfu Village in Jiapeng Township, Jixi County, Xuancheng City. We stayed at a farmhouse in the village, planning to shoot the sunset and the next morning's sunrise and mist. Lucky us, we encountered mist in the morning—so ethereal!

There is a large viewing platform on the road, with a huge stone engraved with 'Meiganling' standing by the roadside, reminding visitors that this is Meiganling Terraced Fields. There is also a viewing platform on the hill behind. Climbing up the platform to look into the distance, one sees a vibrant scene. During the rape flower season from March to April each year, this place is filled with photography enthusiasts carrying their cameras and telephoto lenses.

Around 5:30 PM, we climbed the hill behind Meiganling to prepare for shooting the Meiganling Terraced Fields at sunset, as well as the surrounding Kantou Village and Zhuli Village.

Overhead shots highlight the beautiful lines of the houses and terraced fields, with very attractive color blocks.

Standing on the hilltop platform, gazing at the mountain stream and looking west, Jesus rays shone down from behind the clouds.

The Taizi Temple in Zhuli Village was built to commemorate the two princes of Wang Hua, Duke of Yue, and has high historical and cultural value. Every year on August 25, an event is held.

Wisps of cooking smoke rose above the small village, and the afterglow of the setting sun added a touch of haziness to the scene.

The winding mountain road coiled along the hillside. In the trembling golden hues of dusk, the mountain village was bathed in a warm backlit color. Cooking smoke curled up, like a fairyland.

In the deep valley, the dense forest appeared dreamlike in the backlight, with the sunset reflecting golden patches, brilliant and colorful.

The village embraced in the mountain hollow by the terraced fields, with black tiles and white walls scattered in an orderly manner. In the serene sunlight, this mountain village in the hollow reminded one of a life of rising at sunrise and resting at sunset.

Layers upon layers of rape flowers covered the mountains, with village houses nestled among them. The distant green mountains resembled a Chinese ink painting.

The sky gradually darkened. The sun was blocked by thick clouds and never fully emerged. We packed up our gear and hiked down the mountain...
