This Summer, Guangde Is a Bit 'Drifting'

With seven parts mountains, one part water, one part farmland, and one part bamboo groves and estates, Guangde, located at the border of Wu and Chu, is at the junction of eight counties, where the rooster's crow is heard in three provinces. This 1800-year-old small town remains hidden and little known.

Taiji Cave + Shilongshan Drifting

When visiting Guangde, Taiji Cave is a must-see. The cave is cool in summer and warm in winter, with a constant temperature of 18 to 22 degrees Celsius all year round, making it an excellent summer resort.

Outside the cave, a newly expanded artificial garden is named "Changle Garden."

As early as more than 2,000 years ago, Guangde's stone cave was as famous as Guilin's landscape. Feng Menglong of the Ming Dynasty called "Guangde's Buried Treasure (Taiji Cave), Qiantang River's Tide, Leizhou's Drum Change, and Mirage" the four wonders of the world.

Because this cave is unique under heaven, people linger and forget to return for thousands of years. It is said that Taishang Laojun, while traveling to famous mountains and great rivers, passed by this cave, lingered and forgot to return, turned into stone, and stayed in the cave forever. Hence the name Taiji Cave. The three characters "Taiji Cave" were inscribed by Wu Tongchun, the prefect of Guangde in the Ming Dynasty during the Wanli period.

Taiji Cave is more than 5,400 meters long, with over 700 scenic spots inside. It is divided into dry cave and water cave on the left and right. The order of tour is to first visit the dry cave, then return to the water cave. On the gate of Taiji Cave is a painting of a Tai Chi Bagua diagram. Walking straight in, you enter the dry cave, whose scenery is as gentle and beautiful as the Jiangnan region of Wu.

"Huaiyin Ancient Tree" resembles an ancient tree with a straight trunk and lush branches and leaves.

Entering "Tongguan" is the Yunjing Palace, which contains the stone inscription "Tongyun Biejing" written by Wu Tongchun, the prefect of Guangde, hence the name Yunjing Palace. A rare sight in Yunjing Palace is the "Xianzhou Fugua" (Fairy Boat Hanging Upside Down). A huge stone nearly a hundred meters long hangs overhead like an upside-down boat, resembling an artificial stone alley, deep and unfathomable.

In the middle, a 750-meter underground dark river connects the two parts. Boats are needed to travel. The scenery behind the water cave is magnificent and vast, like an underground Little Huangshan. This Yin and Yang may coincide with the mystery of Tai Chi.

With a pink sand beach full of girlish heart and an authentic Dai Water Splashing Festival, this summer, even if you can't go far, is full of ethnic customs. Enjoy the water park every weekend and be a happy fish-catching master.

This summer park, mainly featuring a 4D all-glass high-altitude slide, uses the cool underground river water directly from the nearby Taiji Cave for drifting. The drifting track is 800 meters long with a drop of 68 meters, distributed in an S-shape. While experiencing speed and passion in 360-degree spins, you can take in the scenery.

Bamboo Township Gallery + Red Rock Stream Drifting

Red Rock Stream is located at the junction of Anji, Changxing, and Guangde counties. The stream is clear, the current is rapid, splashing water, surrounded by mountains and bamboo forests. The drifting track is about 3.2 kilometers long with a total drop of about 80 meters, a maximum drop of 7 meters, and a drifting time of about 90 minutes. It is a natural drifting destination.

Along the way, you pass through thrilling deadwood karst caves, the idyllic scenery on both sides of Yangsha River, and winding rapids and dangerous shoals, making people scream from time to time. A special feature of Red Rock Stream drifting is that you can admire the unique landform of the Red Rock Waterfall cliff during the drift.

A flat lake before the "Carp Leaping over the Dragon Gate" is an excellent place for water battles. You can also check in the recently popular Dragon Scale Dam. Of course, the thrilling leap after the Dragon Gate is the soul of Red Rock Stream drifting.

The Bamboo Township Gallery Tourism 100 Rainbow Avenue, from Dongting to Yangtan, cars drive through the bamboo sea, and people travel in a painting. Jishan Bamboo Sea + Yunjing Niushan + Laoyatan Drifting

Laoyatan Drifting is adjacent to the Guangde Lu Lake Scenic Area, surrounded by the vast Jishan Bamboo Sea, and neighbors the "First Reservoir of Northern Zhejiang" Fushi Reservoir. With green mountains and clear waters, it is an excellent choice for a "summer heat escape and oxygen plan."

It combines a glass slide and a stream drift. The starting point of the drift is a glass slide suspended over the bamboo sea, 350 meters long with a drop of over 20 meters. Sitting in a kayak, you slide down, taking in a panoramic view of the bamboo sea. With 900-degree continuous large turns, it offers a thrilling speed and passion experience, and you can also admire beautiful flower seas.

After leaping down from the glass slide, you enter a fairy tale world, with immersive scenes from Disney animations, Cretaceous dinosaur remains, deep-sea sharks, and even Olaf and Princess Elsa, satisfying every visitor's childlike heart.

After drifting to the end, you can return on a pink retro small train. The train, emitting white smoke, whistles through the landscape, and the clattering of wheels on the rails brings you back to childhood.

Nearby check-in: Jishan Bamboo Sea. If you don't climb Jishan, you won't know how many bamboos are in Guangde. Located in Lucun Township, Jishan, also called Jilong Mountain, Jizhao Mountain, and Jizhao Mountain, stands alone among the mountains, famous for its vast bamboo sea. The "World's First Bamboo Shoot," one of the "Four Wonders of Guangde," is the Jishan winter bamboo shoot produced in Jishan Bamboo Sea.

Early in the morning, along the bamboo sea trail, climb to the top viewing platform, overlooking the myriad mountains, and see a panoramic view of Lu Lake, giving a feeling of broad-mindedness.

Xiangshuitan Drifting combines a high-altitude waterfall, a glass slide, and a canyon drift. The drift lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes, with a total drop of over 120 meters and a length of 3.1 kilometers.

The starting point of the drift is Xiangshuitan Reservoir, with lake and mountain scenery reflecting like a painting.

When drifting to Xiangshuitan Waterfall, you enter a 1.2-kilometer glass slide, experiencing the magnificence of Xiangshuitan Waterfall in the spins. The sound is like thunder, and screams echo one after another, offering a full sense of experience.

The picturesque Xiangshuitan Waterfall, 70 meters high and over 21 meters wide, falls in eight tiers, sounding like thunder, and is known as the "First Waterfall in Southeast Anhui."

Passing through the glass slide, the kayak then slides into the stream drift. The drift uses two-person kayaks and passes through more than 10 shoals, over 20 slides, and 360-degree sharp turns. Lingshan Canyon Drifting makes full use of the canyon stream, with a length of 2 kilometers and a river drop of 68 meters. The drifting time is about 60 minutes. The banks are lush with beautiful mountains, deep pools, jagged rocks, and dense trees. The riverbed is steep and rugged, with rapids and dangerous shoals scattered everywhere.

Riding a kayak, you drift along the clear stream, sometimes leisurely, sometimes braving the rapids; thrilling but safe, experiencing the beauty of mountains and waters, refreshing and enjoyable.

Pengcun New Horizon has a unique wetland landform. At the Dingguang Canal pier, board a painted boat to explore the Mopan Mountain Wetland. Listen to the wind in the bamboo groves, enjoy the water's elegance, see egrets in abundance, unfolding a primitive pastoral picture.

In the center of the wetland is an independent island, the habitat of egrets.

The boundless lotus leaves stretch as far as the eye can see, and under the sun, the lotus flowers appear strikingly red. In summer, the delicate lotus blooms in the pond. Stroll along the circular walking path, and the pink lotus flowers come into view, enchanting and intoxicating.

Hexing Village in Xinhang Town is also a beautiful countryside at the junction of Jiangsu and Anhui provinces. The former marble processing plant in the village has been transformed into a hundred-acre lotus pond. The pink lotus flowers stretch their delicate bodies. A gentle breeze brings bursts of fragrance, refreshing and pleasant.
