Enjoying Autumn Colors on the Southern Anhui Sichuan-Tibet Line
The sky is high and clouds are light, autumn is in the air. Driving to southern Anhui to enjoy the autumn colors on the Southern Anhui Sichuan-Tibet Line.
Departing from Suzhou,
after 3 hours and over 250 kilometers, we arrive at the Ningguo East Entrance of the Southern Anhui Sichuan-Tibet Line.
First stop: Chujiatan, nestled between mountains and rivers, with pleasant scenery, misty drizzle, and a ten-mile gallery.
Continuing along S345,
we reach the Luoyushan Forest Scenic Area. The Luoyushan Wetland Park is also one of the main attractions of the famous "Southern Anhui Sichuan-Tibet Line."
The Luoyushan Forest Scenic Area is located in the upper reaches of Qinglong Lake, consisting of six patches of redwood forest, covering a total area of over 3,000 mu. Take a bamboo raft through the water forest, enjoying the beautiful scenery from the water.
Viewed from a height, large patches of green are beginning to turn yellow.
After Fangtang, we start continuous uphill winding roads.
Entering the territory of Taoling in Jing County, we begin the most essential section of the Southern Anhui Sichuan-Tibet Line: the Six Bends.
After the Six Bends, we pass through Suhong Village and head to Shuimo Dingxi. Standing halfway up the mountain, we enjoy the beautiful evening scenery.
Arrive at Shuimo Tingxi.

Shuimo Tingxi Scenic Area, a 4A-level tourist attraction. Under blue skies and white clouds are green mountains and clear waters, just like its name, as if a natural ink-wash painting.
In the early morning light, take a walk in Shuimo Tingxi.
Drive to Huangtian Scenic Area, a 4A-level tourist attraction.
Huangtian Village was built in the Jiayou period of the Northern Song Dynasty and flourished during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The ancient dwellings of Huangtian, represented by the "Yangchuan House" (Boat-shaped House), have weathered the vicissitudes of time and still retain the charm of ancient villages.
Arrive at Taiping Lake around noon.
Taiping Lake Scenic Area, a 4A-level tourist area.
Taiping Lake is located in the Huangshan District of Huangshan City, Anhui Province, nestled between Huangshan and Jiuhua Mountains. Its lake and mountain scenery are uniquely endowed: the lake water is clear and emerald, the green mountains roll continuously, the water is graceful, and islands scatter like pearls. It is praised as "Huangshan's Lover," "Chinese Jade," "World Pearl," and "Eastern Lake Geneva."
Take a boat tour of Taiping Lake.

In the morning, take a walk by Taiping Lake.
Drive to Taohuatan (Peach Blossom Pond) Scenic Area, a 4A-level tourist attraction.
"Peach Blossom Pond a thousand feet deep cannot match the depth of Wang Lun's love for me."
This Taohuatan is the one mentioned in Li Bai's poem. After a thousand years, we will walk the path the Immortal Poet walked and see the scenery he saw.
Enter Taohuatan to see peach blossoms,
take a bamboo raft on Taohuatan and enjoy both banks.
Continue walking through the ancient village.
Zhaji Village, a 4A-level tourist attraction. This is a village with a history of 1,300 years. Arriving there feels like traveling through time, returning to ancient times a thousand years ago. You can experience the interlacing of time and space between ancient and modern.
The architecture of Zhaji Village is very interesting. It is said that there were originally 108 bridges, 108 ancestral halls, and 108 temples. Over the long river of time, some buildings have disappeared in the smoke of history. Currently, there are over 140 ancient buildings, including more than 40 bridges, 30 ancestral halls, and 4 temples.
Xuancheng North Gate Old Street runs north-south, nearly a kilometer long, containing many ancient buildings and cultural landscapes. It has now become a commercial street and night market area.
On Xuancheng North Gate Old Street, we found an Anhui-style restaurant. The famous Anhui dish stinky mandarin fish was definitely ordered...
After more than 3 hours, we returned to our warm and lovely home.
This trip lasted three days and two nights, covering over 900 kilometers, with more than a third of it on winding mountain roads. We fully enjoyed the beautiful natural scenery and ancient villages with long histories, returning full of joy.
