Jingzhou, Hubei, as one of the first 24 renowned historical and cultural cities in China, boasts a long history and splendid culture, with a city-building history spanning more than 2,600 years. It is one of the birthplaces of Chu culture. Today, Jingzhou is already a charming city with Chinese characteristics, featuring a layout of one city with multiple scenic areas. Its famous attractions include museums, the Garden Expo Park, ancient city walls, and the Guandi Temple, to name just a few. Among them, the Garden Expo Park encapsulates the long-standing Chu culture and is one of the key places to experience the city's cultural charm and spiritual essence.

Located in the Jinian Ecological and Cultural Tourism Zone in northern Jingzhou, the Jingzhou Garden Expo Park covers an area of 1,550 mu (about 103 hectares). It is divided into five districts and seven functional zones, housing 17 prefecture-level city gardens, 11 county-level gardens, and 17 horticultural works exhibition gardens. With the theme "Glorious Chu, Ecological Garden Expo," the park fully utilizes the diverse landforms of the area, including plains, hills, and river beaches, as well as abundant wildlife resources and a beautiful ecological environment. By exploring the historical and cultural heritage of Jingzhou, the park has developed ecological landscape construction, achieving a comprehensive upgrade of sightseeing, leisure services, and cultural experiences. It has created a modern expo park that combines the regional cultural characteristics of Chu with advanced garden art standards.

To further promote excellent traditional culture and enhance the confidence of the Chinese nation, the Garden Expo Park will join hands with Xi'an's Tang Paradise to hold the "2021 Second Spring Festival Lantern Fair" at the Jingzhou Garden Expo Park around the Spring Festival this year. Using skillfully crafted lantern sets of various shapes and rich meanings as a medium, and integrating folk resource themes and performances, the event will showcase the charm of traditional folklore, offering visitors and citizens more aesthetic enjoyment.

At that time, Jingzhou and Xi'an will launch a twin-city collaboration, with the Jingzhou Garden Expo Park and Xi'an's Tang Paradise lighting up their Spring Festival lanterns simultaneously. The cultures of Qin and Chu, Han and Tang, will merge across time and space. These two ancient cities, Jingzhou and Xi'an, will meet in the name of lights, presenting visitors and citizens with a visual feast. As the lanterns begin to glow, each lit lamp resembles a baby opening its eyes, reflecting a dazzling, resplendent world.
