Now in its second year, the Jingzhou Garden Expo Park Spring Lantern Festival continues to innovate in every aspect, using modern lighting and energy-saving sources while emphasizing interactive experiences for visitors, creating a uniquely grand New Year celebration. Jointly hosted by Xi'an Qujiang Cultural Tourism and Jingzhou Garden Expo Park, the festival will be officially lit on February 4, 2021. Combining the former's mature experience in lantern festival branding with the latter's cultural charm and ecological beauty, it promises to bring even more excitement to residents and tourists alike.
This year's Jingzhou Garden Expo Park Spring Lantern Festival, themed 'Splendid Jingchu, Radiant Expo Garden,' features five major lantern sections: Memories of Jingchu, Striving Jingzhou, Spring Night Garden Tour, Power of China, and Sci-Tech Jingzhou, dedicated to creating a Spring Lantern Festival with distinctive Ox Year characteristics. Nearly 50 large lantern sets and close to a thousand atmospheric lanterns are scattered throughout the park, filling every corner with the festive spirit of family reunion and good fortune, immersing visitors in a fairy-tale ambiance.
Special lantern displays such as Phoenix Soaring, Fish-and-Rice Jingzhou, Happy New Year, and 'Ox' Reverses Fate express the joy of the new year while conveying sincere blessings to visitors. Lantern riddles are naturally an indispensable part of the event, and this year's riddle activities are once again held as scheduled. A five-meter-long riddle corridor covers a wide range of themes, showcasing the profoundness of traditional Chinese culture and bringing a lively festive atmosphere to the scene. Delicacies from across the country will gather here, while special performances, folk customs, and intangible cultural heritage will be presented one by one.
