Also known as Yuanxi or the Lantern Festival, it is one of China's traditional festivals and a continuation of people's celebration of the Spring Festival. According to folk tradition, on the night of the Lantern Festival, people enjoy sweet glutinous rice balls, admire the bright moon, view colorful lanterns, and guess lantern riddles, savoring the leisurely joy of reunion. To ensure everyone has a joyous and auspicious Lantern Festival and experiences a strong traditional festive atmosphere, the Jingzhou Garden Expo Park Lantern Festival is going all out again!
The Spring Festival Lantern Festival, jointly hosted by the Tang Paradise scenic area under Xi'an Qujiang Cultural Tourism and Jingzhou Garden Expo Park, with the title sponsorship of Quchi Dongyuan, combines Qujiang Cultural Tourism's mature lantern festival brand management experience with the unique cultural tourism resources of the Garden Expo Park. During the Spring Festival, it provided citizens and tourists with a leisure and entertainment venue full of festive flavor, allowing everyone who came to feel the atmosphere and joy of 'celebrating the New Year'. The brilliant and colorful lanterns adorned the Garden Expo Park with flowing light and splendor. Lanterns such as 'Inspiring Jingzhou', 'The Phoenix Comes with Auspicious Omen', 'Phoenix Perches in Jingzhou', and 'Me and My Motherland' were all magnificent and imbued with beautiful meanings, allowing visitors to experience the charm of culture in a romantic atmosphere and a strong New Year flavor.
Moreover, during the Spring Festival, the Garden Expo Park also featured dazzling light shows, Hancheng Walking Drum performances, Tian Tower Lion Dance, and other spectacular shows, as well as specialty foods from all over the country and fun interactive photo spots, making the event richer and more exciting. Around the Lantern Festival, the Garden Expo Park will offer even more excitement! For example, the Guandou Double Dragon Dance performance, as one of China's traditional folk cultural activities, is an indispensable event during festive celebrations. From February 25 to February 27, for three consecutive days, the Garden Expo Park will present wonderful dragon dance performances. Another highlight is the 'Fire Dragon Steel Flowers', a first batch national intangible cultural heritage project. Molten iron at temperatures up to 1500°C is struck into the air, blooming into showers of 'steel flowers' that fly everywhere, while dragon dancers move and shuttle under this scorching 'iron meteor shower', performing the spectacular and majestic 'Fire Dragon Steel Flowers'. Such a magnificent and cool performance will be staged on time at 7:30 pm every night from February 25 to February 27...
