1. Red Western Hunan-Hubei Tourist Area

Located at No. 8 Yanjiang Road, Honghu City, the Red Western Hunan-Hubei Tourist Area is built around the Western Hunan-Hubei Soviet Area Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery. It is a comprehensive national 4A-level scenic area integrating red culture heritage, patriotic education, science education, cultural experience, and public leisure.

2. Honghu Wetland Eco-Tourism Area

Honghu Wetland Eco-Park is located on Jinwan Avenue, Honghu City, covering an area of 1,500 mu. It is an ecological wetland with unique water town characteristics of Honghu. The scenic area uses the original reed marshes of the park to vividly recreate the arduous years of the Honghu Red Guards and the difficult struggles of the Red Army's Long March along both water and land routes. It is an ecological park integrating red education, leisure sightseeing, flower viewing, and parent-child activities.

3. Qujiawan Western Hunan-Hubei Revolutionary Base Former Site

Located on Red Army Street, Qujiawan Town, Honghu City, this site was once the capital of the Western Hunan-Hubei Soviet Area. Revolutionary leaders of the older generation fought arduous struggles here. There are 39 revolutionary sites, including the "Western Hunan-Hubei Soviet Provincial Government," making it the best-preserved ancient building complex on the Jianghan Plain.

4. Jianli Zhoulaozui Scenic Area (3A)

Located in the nationally renowned historical and cultural town of Zhoulaozui Town, it includes the Liu Xuqun Martyrs Memorial Park, the Zhoulaozui Western Hunan-Hubei Revolutionary Base Former Site Group, and the Zhoulaozui Western Hunan-Hubei Revolutionary Base Memorial Hall. The old street is densely lined with 48 revolutionary sites.

5. Shishou Red Army Tree Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Park

Located in Lihua Mountain Village, Taohua Mountain Town, Shishou City, the Red Army Tree Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Park was named by Marshal He Long. It is an important relic of the Western Hunan-Hubei Revolutionary Base. The Red Army Tree, originally a yellow core tree, is about 400 years old and is a key protected cultural relic of Hubei Province. To commemorate Marshal He Long and the martyrs who sacrificed, the revolutionary memorial park was established in 1984.

6. Site of the Meeting of the Fourth and Sixth Red Armies (Nanping Confucian Temple)

On July 4, 1930, the Fourth and Sixth Red Armies of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army met at the Nanping Confucian Temple to form the Second Corps of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, a landmark event in Chinese revolutionary history. 2. Early Sites of the Western Hunan-Hubei Revolutionary Base

Shagang Red Army Street was the earliest seat of the Soviet regime in the Western Hunan-Hubei region. It is located on Red Army Street, Shagang Town, Jiangling County, and is the cradle of early red revolution in Western Hunan and Hubei. Revolutionary leaders such as He Long and Zhou Yiqun came to Shagang to engage in underground Party work, leading the people in active revolutionary struggle and promoting the rapid development of the peasant movement in Shagang.

It is a three-bay wide, brick-and-wood structure with a hard mountain roof combining column-and-tie and post-and-lintel construction. It served as a shop in front and residence in the rear, with a two-story, three-row layout covering 345 square meters. It was built in the Qing Dynasty. On December 16, 1992, the Hubei Provincial People's Government designated it as the third batch of cultural protection units.

1. Wanshou Park (1998 Flood Resistance Memorial Pavilion) 3A

Wanshou Park is situated by the river. It is famous for the "First Rock on the Yangtze River" Guanyin Rock and the "Wanshou Pagoda" built during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. On the left side of the Guanyin Rock head, under the guardrail, there is a monument marking the water level of the 1998 catastrophic flood at 45.22 meters, which is also the highest historical water level of the Yangtze River recorded at Guanyin Rock. The nearby "1998 Flood Resistance Memorial Pavilion" commemorates the victory in the flood resistance struggle.

2. Jingzhou Ocean World

3. Jingjiang Flood Diversion Project

The Jingjiang Flood Diversion Project was the first major water conservancy project after the founding of the People's Republic of China. It includes the flood diversion gate (Beizha), the control gate (Nanzha), the Jingjiang Flood Diversion Monument, etc. In 1952, 300,000 people completed the main structure in just 75 days before the flood season, an immortal monument in the history of Yangtze River water conservancy. The Jingjiang Flood Diversion Gate is a national key cultural protection unit, included in the "National Red Tourism Classic Directory," and is a municipal-level patriotic education base. "People built dams high, red flags fluttered for miles; cutting off the Wei River, they built a glorious dam; winding like a dragon, reflecting the lake and mountains; connecting north and south, leading Asia." The Weishui Dam, the largest man-made earth dam in Asia, is 8,968 meters long. Seen from above, it forms an S-shape, graceful and spectacular. The Weishui Scenic Area, centered around the Weishui Reservoir, integrates mountains, water, forests, springs, caves, islands, and diverse ecological culture. In addition to the Weishui Dam, it features China's first five-star car self-driving sports camp, the Weishui Car Camping Ground, the Bailandao Gallery of the Chu Southern Wonderland, the Weishui Holiday Hotel, and the national-level characteristic town Weishui Sports and Leisure Town.

Based on the principle of "respecting Shashi memory and recreating the wharf style," the park relies on the long history and historical relics of Shashi Yang Wharf. Adopting a Republic of China style combined with industrial architectural style, it protects and repurposes over 50 historical buildings, including the original packaging factory and the Huoli 28 factory area. The park transforms the Yang Wharf area into a shared urban living room featuring cultural display, leisure and entertainment, specialty cuisine, creative workshops, riverside sightseeing, and science education, highlighting Shashi's commercial port culture and industrial culture.

Jingjiang Flood Diversion Project Monument Pavilion

The monument is a tower-shaped granite structure. The lower west wall relief depicts the construction scenes of the project. The middle four sides are engraved with inscriptions: on the south side is Chairman Mao Zedong's inscription: "For the benefit of the vast majority of the people, strive for the victory of the Jingjiang Flood Diversion Project"; on the north side is Premier Zhou Enlai's inscription: "Make both the river and lakes beneficial to the people"; on the east side is an ancient poem by Deng Zihui; on the west side is the monument inscription written by Li Xiannian and Tang Tianji. Inside the pavilion, there are marble tablets inscribed with the names of 928 model workers who participated in the construction of the Jingjiang Flood Diversion Project.

It is a national 4A scenic area, built around the Western Hunan-Hubei Soviet Area Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery, integrating the 1998 Flood Resistance Memorial Park, Riverside Park, and the Louis Alley Bronze Statue. The overall layout is "one center, one belt, one road, five zones." It is a comprehensive scenic area integrating red culture heritage, patriotic education, science education, cultural experience, and public leisure.

Its historical and cultural tourism area mainly includes the Ancient City Wall Scenic Area, the Former Residence of Zhang Juzheng, and the Guan Di Temple.

4. Chu King's Chariot and Horse Pit Scenic Area (4A)

The Chu King's Chariot and Horse Pit Scenic Area (Xiongjia Zhong National Archaeological Site Park) is about 26 kilometers from the Chu capital Jicheng and about 35 kilometers from the historical and cultural city of Jingzhou. It borders the Balingshan Chu tomb complex to the south and Jingshan Mountain to the north. It is an important part of the national large-scale site protection area in Jingzhou. The scenic area covers 731 mu, with a core protection area of 225 mu. It consists of five parts: the main tomb of the Chu king, accompanying tombs, burial pits, sacrificial pits, and the chariot and horse pit exhibition hall. It is the best-preserved, largest, and most complete Zhou dynasty Chu king mausoleum discovered so far, famous for its majestic Chu king tomb and spectacular chariot pits. It is hailed as a model Chu king mausoleum, "unique in China, unparalleled in the world."

5. Jingzhou Fantawild Oriental Heritage

With the theme of inheriting Chinese history and culture and deeply integrating Jingchu cultural characteristics, it showcases the charm of five thousand years of Chinese civilization and Jingchu culture through participation, experience, and interaction.

6. Jingchu Intangible Cultural Heritage Skills Heritage Institute (3A)

The Jingchu Intangible Cultural Heritage Skills Heritage Institute is a non-heritage training and protection base established relying on the Changjiang Art and Engineering Vocational College. In October 2017, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism established the National Traditional Craft (Jingzhou) Workstation here.

The institute covers 62 mu, with various buildings totaling 14,000 square meters. It houses 12 exhibition halls, including the "Chu-style Lacquerware Techniques Exhibition," and 18 folk craft inheritance workshops, such as "Chu-style Qin Making." The institute aims to promote Chinese culture, comprehensively display Jingchu folk handicraft skills, and cultivate craftsmanship. It is a special tourist attraction for study tours, cultural and creative incubation, and interactive experiences.
