8000 Yuan Easy Japan Independent Travel~ Ultimate Guide·Solve Your Pre-trip Worries丨Stock Up Before You Go!
This is a guide. To save space, I won't insert pictures~~ to make it more intuitive. However, I published a travelogue in the previous post, which contains many beautiful pictures. It records in detail how I played in Japan. If you want to know exactly how to have fun in Japan, you can click to browse the previous travelogue~~~ I will continue to update.
A satisfying yet lingering Japan trip·Suitable for couples~~~
Coming to Japan, besides eating, drinking, and having fun, the highlight is shopping, shopping, shopping~~~~
So how can you have fun while also being able to buy all the goods you want? I have compiled my post-trip insights to share with everyone.
First, a shopping tip:
1. When girls buy skincare products, they can buy some (dual-purpose) ones that both men and women can use, which can save some money~~~
2. It is not recommended to shop at airport duty-free stores. Although they are tax-free, they are still expensive.
1. Passport (Remember to bring it when going out. You can get a tax refund when purchasing goods. Spend over 5,000 yen, which is about 300 RMB, and get a 10% tax refund. If you pass by a drugstore during your trip and go in to buy something, it would be awkward to find you forgot your passport at checkout~)
2. Visa (Simplified visa available, slightly more expensive)
4. Currency (Exchange domestically)
5. Prepare mobile WiFi/phone card/transit card in home country (can be obtained at the airport)
6. Bank card (Some drugstores and electronics stores accept Alipay)
7. Translation device (Optional. Japan is deeply influenced by Chinese culture. Chinese is visible everywhere on streets and train platforms. No need to worry about communication. If not, sign language works)
8. Adapter plug (Japan's voltage is 110V. Most hotels have dedicated adapters. But bringing one is a backup)
If you have prepared all the above, you can set off with peace of mind.
Before introducing my itinerary, let me give a brief introduction on how to play in Japan and where to go (many people may be confused)~ Friends who are going to Japan for the first time can take a look.
The attractions in Kansai are very famous, such as Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, etc. They are known for Japanese-style architecture, streets with Japanese ambiance, thousand-year-old ancient capitals, and historical relics. Strong traditional Japanese atmosphere. The attractions are famous, but the variety of activities is less compared to Kanto, relatively monotonous.
Kanto~ The holy land for Japanese anime fans, for example: Conan Town (recommended) - Slam Dunk - Crayon Shin-chan - Initial D and other anime filming locations, full of childhood memories. Also, Tokyo, a metropolis where tradition and modernity blend, and Ginza for shopping sprees. With Mount Fuji as a backdrop, the beautiful hot spring town of Hakone. Compared to Kansai, the scenery and activities are diverse, with different themes to choose.
It really depends on your choice. I suggest going to Kanto to play~~~~~
If you are going to Japan just to see cherry blossoms, soak in hot springs, and visit temples and shrines, you can experience that in both Kansai and Kanto~ No need to deliberately choose a place.
Shanghai - Narita Airport - Saitama
D1. Saitama - Hakone (Owakudani active volcano, Lake Ashi)
D2. Hakone - Atami (Hot spring hotel, geothermal resources from Hakone volcano)
D3. Atami - Tokyo (Tokyo Tower)
D4. Tokyo - Saitama (Return to accommodation, shopping)
D5. Saitama - Yokohama (Minato Mirai·Yokohama landmark check-in - Nissan Car Exhibition Hall·Experience Japanese car modification culture, Yokohama's night view is beautiful)
D6. Yokohama - Kawasaki (Temple·Kawasaki Daishi)
D7. Kawasaki - Saitama (Shopping - Outlets)
D8. Saitama - City and Countryside (Shopping~Shopping~Shopping)
Saitama - Narita Airport - Shanghai
Ramen - Favorite of Naruto's Naruto, but I recommend 'Ichiran' ramen. It has high fame and reputation in Japan. Recommendation rating: 4 stars
Conveyor belt sushi - Place a variety of sushi with diverse preparations on a rotating conveyor belt. When you order sushi, you take it from the belt. Very unique, my favorite. If you can't handle raw food, you can order cooked ones, satisfying all tastes~ Recommendation rating: 5 stars
Trains and JR are necessary means of transportation. Commuting in Japan is very expensive. So if you choose independent travel, it is recommended to first decide whether to go to Kanto or Kansai, and then plan which cities to visit. This can lower commuting costs. At Japanese train platforms, you can not only see Chinese, but it is also placed in very prominent positions, with font sizes larger than the adjacent Japanese and English by one size. Don't worry too much about transportation~
Accommodation in Japan is not cheap. You can choose to stay in minshuku (guesthouses), and try to choose slightly remote areas. However, you also need to first determine which prefecture to stay in, which attractions to center around, and plan a travel route before booking hotels.
If you are overwhelmed by the wide variety of Japanese products and don't know what to buy, don't panic. I'll help organize your thoughts and list a shopping order for your reference~~~~
Cosmetics - Face masks - Skincare - Hair care/shampoo - Daily necessities - Supplements (milk powder, diet pills, meals) - Clothes - Figurines - Electronics
You can choose brands you usually use, or pick some popular and well-regarded Japanese local brands. If you don't know, you can ask the Chinese-speaking sales assistants in the stores (many drugstores and shopping malls have Chinese-speaking staff. If you have children or elderly in your trip, the mall can also provide free strollers and wheelchairs).
In terms of safety, Japan is second only to China. In terms of service, Japan tops the world, no exceptions.... From the moment you get off the plane, you will slowly start to feel (enjoy) Japanese service~~~~~~
