You may not like summer, but you must never dislike sunsets and sunflowers!!
"The summer wind, I'll always remember"
"Clearly saying you love me"
The hot summer leaves a bad impression on many people, but it also gives many unforgettable moments.
For example, the sea breeze brushing your face; matcha milk-flavored shaved ice; the center piece of watermelon fed to you by someone who loves you; the moment when the graduation cap is tossed into the air and flies...
However, what I love most are the sunsets after the summer sky burns with fire and the sunflower fields in full bloom in July and August.
So today I'll share with you a sunflower sea location near Tokyo, Japan!

Japan's Showa Memorial Park lives up to its name as a national park—it's huge!! It's so rare to have such a big park in Japan, it's absolutely wonderful!
Inside there are all kinds of flowers and plants, with different scenery throughout the year! It takes over 20 minutes to walk from the entrance to the sunflower garden, so please plan your time.

Japan's sunflower blooming period: late July to August (but they wilt quickly under the strong sun, so it's better to go early)
Who says sunflowers turn toward the sun?!? I'm arguing...

Looking around...
The large lawn nearby is perfect for sunset photos
Note: Closing time is 5 PM
Important: The park closes at 5 PM, so staff start urging visitors with announcements from 4:30 PM. If you want to take photos leisurely, go early. The closing time is the only thing I find inconvenient—after all, the sun hasn't even set yet!! I didn't get a chance to see the sunflower field at sunset, what a pity!!
After we left the park, the sunset was at its most beautiful. It made me so angry!! But I still love these photos!
A touch of crimson evening glow
Must-bring item: Sunscreen!! Direct sun warning!!
About food: There are snacks like hot dogs and fried noodles in the park (but you probably don't want to eat these in the heat). Right outside the park is an IKEA, so you can eat there—it's cheap and the air conditioning is strong.
Vegetable curry for under 400 yen
Sunflowers are definitely one of my best memories of this summer!!
Long live summer (scattering flowers ヽ(°▽°)ノ?)
